An effective continuation, with elements of plot interwoven between the sex. Characters have emotional depth; Diana's inner conflict between her desires and her concern for her mother and sisters is a touch of truth, enhancing the reality of the scene, while the physical action, as others have remarked, fairly aches with tenderness and emotional intimacy.

It seems fairly strongly foreshadowed that Diana's illness is something both less and more than that - but perhaps that's only my own predilictions speaking.

One thing arguably absent in the story so far, though, is a sense of how father and daughter interact when they are not alone. There are days lost due to the presence of the sisters, the mother, with the principal characters so restrained that say they've missed one another when they again have time just with one another. Is it only silence in the meanwhile? Significant looks over the morning meal? Stolen moments, brief caresses when no one is looking? To better see how they interact when sex is impossible and secrets must be kept would, in my view, add to the texture of their lives.
