Well I was stunned, Rachael was agog in admiration and Miriam was smirking. It was an outburst that Rachael would often recall. Rachael always thought of her Mother as ahead of her time

But I did discover another story to this outburst which Sue let slip to me some years later. In a combination of unfinished business and as an attempt to encourage a favorable review Claudia had sought out Franklyn before the play opened and seduced him. She thought they had a jolly good time and had plans. That is until she read the review.

Somehow (I wonder how) their indiscretion got to this wife and finally Franklyn's years of dalliance caught up with him and finished off his marriage. A woman scorned perhaps.

Not one serious adult character. They all live in dream worlds. How do these people even get up and put their shoes on each day? They all spout a lot of big words, strung together in an attempt to sounds intellectual. They are just spewing garbage.

The two dominant genders?

There are only two.

This story unwittingly shows why colleges are so expensive. The garbage theories being funded for research raise the proce for all. The humanities are so far gone in education it would be best to start over.

THIS WAS A FAMOUS CASE A WHILE BACK

I’m sure I’ve read this story before, when it was submitted as a case study for the psychology journal “Fruit-Loopery and other Unfortunate Mental Ailments”. I think it was accepted for this prestigious journal because it presented an extreme case of a woman spiraling ever deeper into self-induced psychosis, paraphilia and CSBD, further compounded by cognitive dissonance. What made the case so unusual was that the subject’s husband appeared to exhibit one of the few verified cases of a man without any spine, despite all knowledge saying it was impossible.

~

The children of this unfortunate union were, I seem to remember, not mentioned as much in the paper but one has to assume that they may have been similarly afflicted, especially when it was mentioned that the patient in question abandoned her family for six years and then just as mysteriously re-appeared as if nothing was wrong, and the children ran to her with open arms exclaiming “mummy, mummy” (note: the paper did not say whether they were referring to their mother in terms of endearment, or to the fact that the patient, after being dead to them for six years, were in fact being facetious and declaring her to be as dead as a 2,00 year old embalmed Egyptian mummy).

~

The author of the paper didn’t really delve into why the children would even remember the mother after such a length of time without any contact, but many psychiatric professionals did respond and considered that further investigation into the children’s response was worthy of a research paper in its own right.
