Too much in even 'one way' is reason enough for the sub to call the safe word. Fear can very much be a legitimate reason to safe word as it can be just as damaging as physical injury, if not more so. It is up to the sub to determine the need to safe word, not the dom, and if they do, then the dom has serious work to do.
