I am really digging this story so far. Even though the basic idea is the same as lots of others, it's got a nice balance of description without getting so long as to be tedious to read. When a story is already coming in multiple parts, it can get a little dull sometimes when each part is a dozen pages long, as least for me. Keep it up, and I can't wait for the next part(s).
