A little formulaic, but well written. Brian is fortunate in his teacher's choice of pupils. I'd be interested in following the further adventures of Brian for a while. For instance, what, exactly, did he learn from Sandy? How did their relationship begin and develop? Another chapter or two would be good. Thank you.
