Harem House - Selene Pt. 11

"Fine." Selene grunted as she bent forward and pulled the laptop back to her lap. She turned in her seat so that Kat could come alongside her and look at the screen together.

Arthur's social media presence was stronger on Instagram than on anything else, but his account was private, and so were plenty of his friends. Still, it didn't take the sisters long to spot an office party selfie on his wall, and from there, they went to the tags.

"Which one is Mindy? I don't see a Mindy." Kat said as she perused the names tagged in the photo.

"Closest name is Ji-Min." Selene pointed at the screen with one hand and clicked the name with the other, pulling up her profile.

"She's pretty." Kat commented as they scanned through the photos. "She lives in the dorms?" Kat asked, recognizing the shape of one of the rooms in a picture.

"Guess so." Selene answered. "Looks like she's a business major...." Selene said after clicking over to Facebook and pulling up her wall. "She shares a lot of memes." Selene smiled slightly. "Good sense of humor. Oh hey, she likes Lord of the Rings."

Kat rolled her eyes.

"What? It's important to find common ground with potential future fellow slaves." Selene nudged her sister with her elbow.

Kat scoffed. "You and your fetishes." She shook her head. "You don't even know if this girl will share him. She could want him all to herself. What would you do if Arthur called the whole thing off because he falls in love with this girl just because you won't confess how much you love him?"

"He wouldn't." Selene said simply.

Kat rolled her eyes. "He's a man." Kat answered. "He's a good one, sure, and he's a great lay, but come on, Selene. He's not going to know you love him unless you tell him, and if this girl gets there first, he might give up his friends with benefits to be with his one true love."

"She's not his one true love." Selene said immediately.

"Oh ho." Kat leaned away. "Looks like I touched a nerve."

"Shut up." Selene shook her head. "I just mean that she's not anything like that. She's his coworker, and they're going on a date tomorrow, that's all. It's not like he's trying to choose. And you heard him this afternoon. He's happy with how things are, being in an open relationship."

"Of course he is." Kat laughed. "He gets to fuck us whenever we want."

"And we get to fuck him whenever he wants." Selene quipped. "Sounds like a fair trade to me."

Kat shook her head. "So long as he wants you and doesn't give you up for her, or Kelly "smoke show" Linnehan."

Selene sighed and was about to protest when there was a knock at the door. Selene jumped up, set the laptop down, and moved to the other side of the door so that she wasn't in view when it opened. She looked through the peephole and frowned.

"What? It's the food right?" Kat asked.

Selene nodded.

"So..." Kat said as she stood up.

"I told them in the special instructions to just leave it by the door." Selene whispered back.

"So?" Kat asked.

"They're not leaving." Selene whispered. "I think it's..." She looked through the peephole for a moment, then stepped away from the door and harshly whispered to Kat. "I think it's Ji-Min!"

Kat stepped to the peephole and motioned for her sister to step aside and behind the door. Selene had to step on her tiptoes to see through it, though the heels helped. Kat was sure without the heels, she would have needed some kind of step stool. Even now, it was at her uppermost reach just to get her eye mostly level to see through it. Sure enough, when she looked through the peephole, she saw Ji-Min looking up at her from the other side of the door. She motioned for Selene to be quiet, slid the chain open, unlocked the deadbolt, and opened the door.

"Hey, thank you!" Kat said as she reached for the bag of food.

Ji-Min looked surprised and pulled the bag away out of an almost startled reflex.

"Uh... our food?" Kat asked.

"Sorry." Mindy said as she checked the number on the door and moved the bag forward again. "I uh... is Arthur here?"

"He is not." Kat said slowly. "We're uh... apartment sitting while he's having dinner with his folks."

Mindy's forehead furrowed for a second as if trying to imagine a scenario in which apartment sitting was necessary for such a temporary absence. "Is he still around this weekend? We're supposed to have a thing tomorrow."

"Your date?" Asked Kat.

"Yeah." Mindy nodded, slightly relieved that this woman was aware of it. It meant she wasn't as direct a threat. Mindy knew he had a date Friday night. Was this that woman? Or was this the friend who'd been kneeling at the coffee table behind all those instruments of pain and pleasure the last time she delivered food here? Arthur hadn't given her the whole story out of concern for his friend's privacy, but she knew enough to know that Arthur's kinky side had a friend in common.

"He'll be ready for it." Kat nodded. "Looking forward to it. Or so I hear."

"Oh. Good." Mindy said with a nod as she pushed the food forward. Another voice came from behind the door, spoken in such a harsh whisper that Mindy couldn't make out what it said.

Kat looked away from the door, and there was a bout of harsh whispering that seemed ready to erupt into a fight. Then Kat smiled and looked back at Mindy as she reached to accept the food. "Do you want to come in?" She asked.

Mindy looked surprised. "Well, uh... I'm not supposed to."

She looked prettier than Kat had expected in person, but she was done up a little bit. Her makeup was recently touched up, and her deep black hair was recently combed and made to look presentable. As if she'd touched it up before coming up here. She was dressed in a plain shirt and comfortable jeans, but the front of it was tucked in to show off her flat stomach and surprisingly busty shelf of breasts. Her face was pretty, framed by her dark hair on either side, and her chin was sharp, offset by the wide, plush lips her mouth had pulled into a slight frown.

"Hold on." Kat closed the door for a second. There was muffled movement, and then she opened the door again. "Come on in." Kat said as she opened it.

"Oh, uh... well, I'm really not supposed to, but this is the last delivery of my shift, and I was hoping Arthur would be here..." Mindy said hesitantly. She'd been expecting Arthur to open the door, and she'd been hoping that he would invite her in. She hadn't been expecting someone else to open Arthur's door, and now that surprise was warring with her initial desire. She didn't seem to know what to do.

"Come on." Kat said as she took the food. "I'll dish up the sushi. Join us."

"Us?" Mindy asked as she absent-mindedly crossed the threshold. She looked around to take in the apartment she'd never seen from inside before, looking for signs of Arthur. There were no pictures on the walls, typical of a bachelor, she supposed, but there was a small bookshelf of movies, a tv, and some decent furniture. Mindy watched as Kat crossed to the kitchen table, set the food down, and nearly jumped when Selene spoke.

"Welcome to Arthur's harem." Selene said brightly. She sat with her legs crossed on the sofa. The blanket was now wrapped around her from just below her breasts. It flowed over the seat cushions and hid her nakedness.

"His-" Mindy paused at the word. She knew it, obviously, but she hadn't been expecting it anymore than she'd been expecting Selene. Her eyes flicked to the thin leather collar around Selene's throat, and then she looked rapidly at Kat, who didn't seem bothered by it and was dutifully unloading the food.

"Harem." Kat repeated. Then she laughed a tiny but beautiful giggle. "You'll have to excuse Selene. She likes to shock people sometimes."

"Uh..." Mindy started.

"Don't worry!" Selene raised her hand as if to stop Mindy from leaving. "We're all friends here. I'm just kidding around. You're Mindy, right? Arthur's told me some about you."

"Yeah." Mindy answered with a nod. "Ji-Min. Mindy." She said.

"Nice to meet you." Selene nodded. "I'm Selene. This is my sister Kat." She gestured to the curly-haired blonde at the table, loading food onto three plates.

"I think I should go-" Mindy gestured toward the closed door.

"If you want to." Selene said. "But I thought maybe we could say hi. Get to know one another? You said your shift was over."

"Yeah... but..." Mindy paused. She didn't know these women. They seemed nice enough and friendly, but this was Arthur's apartment, and he wasn't there. She felt like she was trespassing, but these two obviously felt at home here, as if this was their place too. "Are you his roommates or something?" Mindy asked, glancing at the closed bedroom door next to the open one that showed a definite bed. Arthur's room. She gulped.

"Might as well be." Kat scoffed with a pointed look at Selene.

"Yeah, I've been living here a bit." Selene shrugged. "We're his..." She hesitated as if she was about to say one thing but had to correct herself into saying another. "Friends."

"His harem." Kat snarked from the kitchen. "Mindy, you want some water or some beer?"

"Water's fine..." Mindy said hesitantly. She was standing a bit awkwardly, still unsure as to whether she should stay or go.

Selene wanted to get up and bring her to the couch to ensure she was okay, but for reasons unknown to Mindy, she couldn't exactly stand up without the blanket coming with her. So she patted the spot on the sofa next to her. "Sit down! Get comfortable. We want to get to know you."

"We don't bite." Kat assured her, then looked to Selene. "Do we?"

Selene smirked but shook her head. "Ignore my sister. She likes to tease people. Do you prefer Ji-Min or Mindy?"

"Mindy." Mindy answered. "All my friends call me Mindy."

"Mindy then." Selene nodded. "You're going on a date with Arthur tomorrow?"

"Yeah. That's- that's the plan." Mindy said, looking nervously between Kat and Selene. "Are either of you his..." She hesitated, unsure how to ask if either of them were the girl he had a date with earlier in the weekend.

"Well, he'll probably tell you this tomorrow when he sees you, as it just happened today, but we're his friends, and we're in... something of an open relationship with him." Selene admitted.

"He mentioned he was dating or had a date." Mindy nodded.

"That was Kelly. She's not here." Selene shrugged as Kat brought two plates of food over and handed one to Selene and one to Mindy.

"Oh." Mindy said, confused.

"We're... well, I'm..." Selene started, then stopped. She sighed. "I guess I'm making this more confusing than it needs to be." She chuckled. "I'm not trying to scare you off or anything. Quite the opposite. I really want you and Arthur to hit it off tomorrow."

"You... what?" Mindy asked, looking even more confused than she had a moment ago.

"I want you and Arthur to hit it off on your date tomorrow. I want you to have fun. I want him to have fun. I want it to go well." Selene assured her.

"But you're also dating him?" Mindy asked.

"No-" Selene started but was cut off by Kat's "Yes-." The two of them shared a look and then sighed simultaneously.

"Just come out and say it." Kat spat.

"We're fucking him." Selene admitted as she, Kat, and Mindy all blushed simultaneously.

"Oh my god." Mindy said, standing up.

Selene, worried that she'd messed this all up, reached to stop her and managed to grab her forearm gently but pulled her back down to sit on the sofa.

"He told you that he was dating around, right?" Selene asked. Mindy nodded. "And that he had a friend who was into...." She tried to think of a way to gesture or say BDSM and landed on "kinky stuff?" Mindy nodded again, and Selene raised her hand with a guilty little look on her face. "I'm that friend." She tapped her collar. Mindy's eyes fell on it, and she didn't look away.

"So the two of you, sisters you said, are sleeping with Arthur?" Mindy asked. The two of them shared a look but turned back to Mindy and nodded. "And he's dating a girl named Kelly."

"Not exclusively." Selene interjected. "As you know."

"And he has a date with me tomorrow...." Mindy continued, and Selene nodded.

"He's been looking forward to it." Selene assured her.

Mindy scoffed. "Why? He has you two. Isn't that enough for him? What can I offer him that two women can't?"

Selene was silent for a moment as if thinking about the right thing to say. She looked to Kat for help, but Kat didn't seem to have an answer ready at hand either. She shrugged.

"I guess it depends on what your intentions are." Selene said.

"What?" Mindy asked.

"Your intentions." Kat repeated. "She wants to know what you intend to get from dating Arthur. What are you looking for in a relationship with him?"

"I..." Mindy paused. "I don't know." She confessed. "He's really hot. I've been crushing on him for weeks. He's so nice and helpful at work, clueless sometimes, but in the sweetest way. Kinda like Bolin from-" She paused.

"Legend of Korra!" Selene supplied. "Yeah. Love Avatar."

Mindy smiled but nodded. "Yeah."

"We stan a himbo." Kat said as she pulled a chair over from the kitchen table and planted it on the other side of the coffee table from the sofa so she could sit facing Mindy and Selene.

"So..." Selene prompted. "What do you want from him? Marriage? A long-term boyfriend? A monogamous relationship? A one-night stand?"

Mindy seemed uncertain but did her best to answer. "I don't know." She confessed with a shrug. "I guess I was hoping to see where the evening led us tomorrow, but-"

"But?" Kat interrupted.

"Well, I mean..." Mindy glanced between the two women. "I asked him out because I wanted to try before he was taken by someone else. I don't want to get in between whatever-"

"You won't." Selene assured her.

"What?" Mindy asked.

Selene took a breath and nodded. "Look. Kat's not interested in a long-term relationship with him. She wants him for... well, for stress relief, essentially. A friends-with-benefits situation."

Mindy looked at Kat, who had the decency to look away with a bit of a flushed face.

"I..." Selene started.

"Selene wants help exploring her kinky side with him and wants to share him as much as possible." Kat offered, which Selene seemed grateful for.

"Yeah." Selene agreed with a nod and a happy little smile.

"So you want a three..." She seemed to adjust the count in her head. "Foursome?" Mindy asked hesitantly.

"Maybe down the road if you want to." Selene shrugged. "I'd be down, yeah."

"But what we really want is to share Arthur." Kat said. "In turns, at the same time, whatever, but this only works if we're all on board. If we're trying to steal him from each other, it's gonna turn ugly, and there's no need for that. A bunch of women fighting over a guy is just a bad rom-com. A bunch of women working together for mutual satisfaction in a progressive non-monogamous relationship - that's the dream."

Mindy seemed to think about that for a moment.

"So we share him." Mindy said after a moment. "Like, we all get to go on dates with him, sleep with him, have our fun, but we don't get to be his girlfriend or, like, have that kind of relationship with him?"

"Do you want that kind of relationship with him?" Kat asked.

"I don't know." Mindy answered. "I guess I just assumed it might be in the cards."

"Monogamy is most people's default." Kat agreed.

"But it doesn't have to be." Selene countered.

"I don't know." Mindy said again.

"Well, what kind of relationship you have with him is between you and him." Selene assured her. "If you want to be his girlfriend, you can."

"But if you want to be his only girlfriend." Kat emphasized the word only a bit harshly. "You'll have to fight my slut of a sister for him."

Selene frowned at Kat and shook her head. "It isn't a bad thing to be a slut! I enjoy sex! We all do and should. Just because I think old-fashioned monogamy isn't the only way...." She trailed off.

"I..." Mindy hesitated. "I was just thinking it would be fun to go out with him, maybe sleep with him if we hit it off." She blushed and bit her lip. "Maybe mess around at the office sometimes if we started going out regularly." She confessed to part of that fantasy.

"You can still do all of that." Selene assured her. "We, and he, just want to be open about all of this with you. He was going to tell you about us tomorrow and has already a bit, right?"

"Yeah. Kinda." Mindy supposed he had, in his way. Still, it wasn't like he'd come out and told her about all of his sexual partners. Part of that was discretion on his part, she supposed. If it got all over Campus that he had multiple girlfriends or was sleeping around, it might not be beneficial for any of their reputations.

"So... what do you think?" Selene prompted.

"I don't know." Mindy answered honestly. "College is supposed to be when we cut loose, experiment a little, right?" She asked, looking from one woman to the other for support or affirmation.

"Exactly!" Selene agreed enthusiastically. "And that's what we're doing. We're experimenting. A... a polyamorous sisterhood, of sorts."

"So I would have to be in a relationship with you two, too?" Mindy asked.

"No." Kat assured her. "I mean, I'm only speaking for myself, but I'm only, like, forty percent bi. Bi-curious at best." Kat shrugged.

"Well, we'd all be in at least a friendship together." Selene said. "But it wouldn't have to be directly romantic or sexual with one another if we didn't want it to be." She explained. "It could just be friends between us and more with Arthur."

Kat looked at her sister, who watched Mindy, who seemed to have slowly remembered the sushi on her plate and took a bite of her garden roll. She appeared to be chewing over the idea as much as she was the food, but she had to admit that it sounded sane when Selene said it. Somehow. As if it were the natural, logical solution to a problem Mindy didn't realize existed: Competition for the one guy they all seemed to like. What was special about Arthur, though? Other than the same reasons she had a crush on him.

"What if we wanted to date other guys?" Mindy asked. "Like, would they be welcome into the group?"

Selene and Kat shared a glance. "I mean, you're welcome to date other guys if you want to." Selene assured her. "Or I guess that is between you and Arthur. Arthur said that's what he and Kelly agreed to, and I'm sure he wouldn't begrudge you the same thing, but I'm not going to be comfortable around a guy I don't know just because you're fucking him. If you get with another guy, I think it's gonna be outside our little group." Selene said before biting into some sushi of her own.

They chewed in silence for a while.

"So?" Kat asked after a few minutes had passed of silent eating and contemplation. "What do you think?"

Mindy wasn't sure, but she felt it was at least worth a try. An open and poly relationship was undoubtedly easier to start from the beginning than switching part-way through a monogamous relationship, right? She should at least try. That was what college was for, right?

"I don't know." Mindy answered. "It's... not exactly what I was expecting... but I'm not, like, running screaming at the idea, I guess?"

"Well, this only works if we can talk it out." Selene nodded. "Communicate, and be honest with each other. So just... tell us how you're feeling. We're here to support you."

Kat nodded as well.

"I'm willing to give it a shot." Mindy said. "I'm..." She paused for a second. "It might even be fun." She said with a smile.

"It will be." Selene assured her.

"Have you seen his..." Mindy gestured with her hands. Selene bit her lip, and she and Kat nodded slowly with half-closed eyes. "Is it-" Mindy started to ask, but Selene and Kat's nods were emphatic enough to indicate a positive response. "So that's why you're willing to share him rather than fight to keep him?" Mindy asked.
