This time Hazel kissed me as you began to cry softly. Well, I felt great, but the nursing staff had other ideas.
I had no clue it was the next day already.
We hugged our goodbyes, and I say. "Visiting hours are too late before school. I have to see you after. I'm not sure what I going home to now, but if I got half a backbone..."
Hazy looks at me and says. "Baby, we've got your back now, Mom, Dad?"
I asked. "If we could stop at a Jack in the box first, food sounded damn good."
Hazel's Dad, Bob, says. "Steak and eggs with Pancakes, a big breakfast at home; it's the least we can do for a man willing to help our baby Hazy."
I say. "Wow, thank you for not shooting me for kissing your daughter." I laughed.
Bob says. "You earned that right, son; it's clear Hazy more than likes you."
