So so so amazing... been for this for what feels like forever. I don't know how you do it, but this story really resonates. I love that you changed things up a little bit, Mac and Lily have a very 'modern' passion, and you convey the full depth of the passion in the sex scenes without being crass or using silly euphemisms. I love too how the story ties back into the history of the varcolac. I can't wait to see how Mac and Lily's father get along. Can we see more of Lily's wolf?

...What can I say that hasn't already been said? Mac being the vulnerable one this time was just one of those 'aaawwww' moments. Andrei finally realizing the hold he has on his children's lives was something I feel was long in the coming. But now I like that he is willing to let go for Lily's happiness. Now back to Mac... the moment he said 'please' I would have melted into his arms. For such a bad ass to have been rendered as soft and full of emotion as he was when he finally accepted Lily, I think attests to how much he really loves her.

Now that Lily has found her mate. I would love to see who Kal has for a mate. Waiting patiently.

This was a great read and I could not want away. I kept reading no matter what. The children are grown and stronger than anyone realizes. Lily has found her mate in a vampire. I just kept reading and loved what I read. It is sad there are not more kids, as Ceder wanted more, as I've read previously.

I've been reading your stories and now I'm caught up which makes me very sad because now I have to wait. :( Hopefully a new chapter will be here soon!

I still have plot believability problems. WHERE WAS RAYNE FOR 25 YEARS?? Wasn't she tasked with guiding the hybrid children? More importantly, wouldn't she have alerted the pack to potential pitfalls with keeping the children caged within the compound? And the biggest problem I have with the plot...ONE attack in 25 years by a single elder and two younglings... ALL taken out by a single Ancient? How does such an occurrence facilitate resurrecting the Queen's elite guard?

It makes me sigh when people read a story and don't read it properly. They miss so much when they skim it and then make fools of themselves by asking silly questions.

Rayne was guiding the children when they were younger in how to cope with using their abilities. She wasn't some all knowing expert on pack life, their pyschological make-up or anything else. She'd lived her entire life learning how to exist as a hybrid on her own. She could help in some ways but she was no expert. The children still have their own personalities to contend with which shapes who they become as adults.

And their parents are still their primary guardians and raise their families how they see fit. The entire pack wanted to protect the children from possible attack and rightly or wrongly they chose to keep them within the pack as the easiest way to do it.

As for the prior attack and just how powerful an Ancient is over all other vampires...well if you'd read all the stories you would see just how powerful an Ancient is. I have to wonder if your question about that relates more to the fact it was a female Ancient kicking ass. If it had been Andrei or Caleb or Demetri would you still be asking?

And again, with having read the stories properly you will have noted that NORS came to help Freya and he killed the third vampire so there were two Ancients involved.

Also Younglings and new Elders are so weak in strength they are easily killed. And there was the discussion about how the attack most likely came from European vampires and that they would take a long time to regroup from the primary incursion. Vampires live forever if not killed. 25 years is nothing to them to regroup and plan something else.

This is what I determined from reading all the stories properly. I didn't find it that hard.
