A good story, nicely executed and a good way to blow the cheating so and so’s back at them

Nice story. Bit unrealistic and short but entertaining.

The best friend deserved some sort of real pain. The wife deserved to be publicly embarrassed for her cheating.

@ Anonymous - There are several reasons why I let Greg go away. First, I don't want to tell the same story every time. Second, the best revenge really is living well. Third, you don't attack the garbage man for removing your unwanted garbage.

I gave fives to both parts, unusual for me. No great literature, but a tale well told. And yes, part two did add to part one pretty nicely.

They lowered themselves to that of the adulterers by having sex before they were divorced. Had they done that they could have held their heads up high. Why, because in the divorce the other pair could have also said they had committed adultery. Not doing that lowered the tone of the story.

Haha! Love it

I liked it but struggled with how it all started. I can't imagine that scenario happening I'm afraid. However it had its amusing revenge factor which along with the good writing rescued it a bit. BardnotBard

Most states are no fault, so it wouldn't matter and filing with adultery wouldn't change the outcome so why make yourself suffer, just to claim a moral high ground?

A lovely story well written, not likely to happen in real life but very plausible the more I think about it. I used to race cars, foreign stock cars, VW, Renault, Triumph our club had a hundred or so members. We raced together, drank together and some played together. Some would get divorced and the marry someone else in the club it was sort of our own little Peyton Place if your old enough to remember that movie or series. I was going to have T-shirt printed up that said: "If you hang around here long enough you'll wind up married to somebody Who's been married to somebody you were married to before." It really did happen several times, it even happened to me, the wife left me and married I guy I used to race with. No, I didn't get his wife she was slut and I guess my wife also was, now that I think about it. True story, really. You know sorta like what happens in the club stays in the club. 5 stars

“They lowered themselves…”. I think not!! When the pair of cheaters lowered themselves even more, admitted their adultery and wanted a divorce from each of their spouses, all bets (and marriage vows) were OFF!! It was nice to see the surviving spouses rise from the ashes and create a new and better life, including kids.

Great story, J_W, thanks for sharing it.

Five stars, no doubt.

What's with the MCs in many stories that want children, but marry or stay married to a wife that does not want kids. The author always lets hubby reason "I stayed with her because I love her". What kind of people are these "men", behaving like you'd expect girlies with a crush on an idol would- namely irrational and based on "feelings" solely? First of all, not wanting children defeats the whole purpose of marriage. If you or your partner doesn't want kids, why marry at all, especially considering the exorbitant divorce rate? You risk all the heartbreak and loss of wealth for NOTHING.

The same way no man with his sanity intact should sacrifice his education or career for a woman. If you are confronted with a divorce later on you neither have a wife nor the kind of job you wanted.

I suppose I write for many of the same reasons that others do. First, I am exorcising my demons. I use writing to explore my thoughts and emotions, sometimes embracing, and perhaps ridding myself of, my darker thoughts and sometimes finding happier themes to celebrate. It s...
