It turns out that my relationship with Abby did not end there. Rhonda had looked at the financial records my PI had uncovered. She had worked as the Executive Secretary for a Toyota-Ford dealership at the beginning of her previous marriage. Rhonda knew the ends and outs of a successful dealership. She proposed we take over the dealership and let her run it. I disagreed. I loaned her the money to do it herself. Rhonda knew the franchise manager for the Honda company. She got a special deal as the company was offering incentives to get female run dealerships. It was enlightening to see her kick ass when she took over. I was surprised when she asked me if it would be alright to keep Abby as a salesperson. It was something she was good at.
For a while, I took joy in Abby's pained expression when I would show up at the dealership to take Abby to lunch. I finally decided to have a closure talk with Abby.
"Abby, I've been surprised you have never filed for divorce. Why not?"
"I've been pleased you haven't. I get some perverse pleasure knowing we are still married. It also helps me weed out the weirdos that hit on me. I just show them my wedding ring."
"Don't you think it would be cleaner to make our split official? You'd get some money to help you out."

He won nothing. He discovered that the woman who he had invested himself in didn't really give a shit about his feelings. He found a woman who would keep him around because she got a house and money in the deal.
He's worthless. The rest of the characters were worthless AND selfish.
The entire story only supports the concept of 'useless eaters'.
The only good thing about the whole situation is that they indeed DIDN'T bring any children into a shallow existence devoid of morals and integrity.
Anonymous6 months agoWell it was required for the setup of the story, but Wendell started out as an idiot and continued to be one.
Any clown knows that a married man is going to be very, very lucky to find a kinky woman who would agree to a threesome off the cuff. It's more likely that a wife would have a kinky, bi friend who would agree to it so that she could bed the wife. The hubby would get some of the action as compensation.
On the other hand, any woman, married or single, who woke up one morning and decided she wants a strange cock could find one before the end of that day.
Equality of the sexes? Get real. A woman will not get serious with a guy unless it appears he has the resources to look after her. All a man thinks about is what the woman brings to the table of herself. That includes love. If he does love her, he will want to provide for her. He's not thinking about her bank balance. On the other hand, even if a woman is highly attracted to a guy, she'll keep him at arm's length because 'he's just not husband material'.
It's also why women will cheat with a guy who has some kind of cred. A boss. A lawyer. Marc fucking Lavalliere. Even if it's for a one-time-deal, it's unlikely she will play down. On the other hand, a guy will get into the groove with the cutie serving at the coffee shop who gave him the eye.
Only a woman who has the fantasy of dominating her hubby would not worry about the status of her 'customers', as long as they bring the requisite equipment. A big cock and a willingness to rub it in hubby's face. They are getting lucky just because of her game.

I get it that it was required for the story idea, but this dude has no idea what it means to be a man.
He's also deluding himself that he's better looking than he thought when he advertised. He always struck out until he broadened the offer. Those women were all looking for a life upgrade. Free board and money? If they are hetero and unattached, then getting serviced would only be an added benefit. A regular fuck that they don't have to even go looking for. Rhonda is bought and paid for.
Sadly, the wider social message now reinforces these attitudes, and the repercussions are now coming home to roost. There are countless women who have a nice job, a nice condo and a nice car who are now bemoaning the fact that they can't find decent husband and father material... and their biological clock is ticking down.
So sad... but we're all paying for it. The world is an uglier place.
inka22229 months agoOn one hand, I don't see how any sane man would get into that situation. "Honey I want to fuck other men". "OK dear, give me a month (to divorce your ass, said he silently)".
On the other hand, he won in the end, both financially, sexually and emotionally. Including her losing the dealeship to the better woman.
I gave it a weak 5 stars for the ending. Would have been a full 5 stars if Rhonda gave him children.

Meaning men with honor, self-respect, valor, and courage will never and would never "share ,swap, swing, or open" it goes against every virtue a man has, and with any intellect a man is aware of the fact that marriages that are infected have a 90% probability of ending and ending badly. Debauchery is not new aged or modern it is just a show of bad character low self control and no morals, a story as old as stories are remember Sodom and Gammora. Those who buy stupidly into it aren't modern, they are repeating the oldest sins showing not strength but their weakness on both mental and emotional levels.
