The description of the storm was very good

The rest of it was way too predictable - no question that she was going to have sex with this guy (and of course it was going to be mindblowing and that they'd get married)

At some point somebody's rain jacket was soaked with blood - now, let me ask you this: what kind of RAIN jacket would get soaked with blood, and not rain? Pretty specialized material that would shed one and not the other - or pretty worthless rain jacket, period

I sure hope this was as predictable as the weather. Even more, I hope it was a good read for folks. Happy Hurricanes To All. // R1

There aren't many 'accidents' in life, just causes and effects. The 'plot' was outlined by the title, and I didn't read it to be surprized.

Shouldn't arrangements have been made to retrieve the body of the dead security guard? And the info from his wallet should have been passed along to notify his family? And, uhh, subtropical weather conditions, that body is going to get pretty ripe, pretty quick.

Yes blood can stick to a rainslicker, in large quantities it is gooey and viscous.

it's "gauge" in real English - not "gage"!

We went through Hurricanes Alicia in 1983 and Hurricane Ike in 2008 in Houston and have first hand knowledge of what it's like. This story is as accurate as it gets. It is as if you are really there with them. One more thing we lived in California for 25 years and we will take an earthquake over a hurricane every time. Thirty seconds of terror vs 3 days . . .do the math !!!

I just read this amazing account about surviving a hurricane. I'm giving it Five Stars for 2019, this story deserves it.
