You The Man Author

The sound of consequence isn't a shrill wimpish whine - its more like a door slamming on a bad experience.

Nice work Author. I like your tone and credible reality.

With High Regard

I concur with the other poster

If you're going to do a short synopsis, do it this way. Just give us the meat and don't try to squeeze croc tears from readers who don't think the story deserved it.

This is concise, compact, and brutally honest about tragic meetings.

I personally know of a high school English teacher who went through a very similar event: one month, he was talking excitingly about his wife giving birth to a son, about them putting down a payment for the ideal home, the next month, it seemed, he was talking about divorcing a woman who's been, apparently having an affair with someone else.

The whole year, you could see the extremely good AP English and Shakespeare teacher suffering deeply: all the smiles and dreams disappeared. But slowly he gained his confidence and smiles again and moved on, once in a while, when it's his turn, he would bring the little son to work.

Knowing that I am not the only human who's gone through this sad and tragic thing made it more bearable, he said.

Again, good, short, meaty, and realistic story.

I AGREE ! ! ! ! !

He is telling the truth because I have been down that Rose Trail two times. The first marriage ended when my wife and kids abandoned me and our home. She tried to get back with me but I told her to go to Hell. My second marriage ended after she found a lover and since I worked 40 hrs. a week, she did not have time for me when I was not working. She would leave and go out stating that she needed her space, but would come smelling like a cigarette and booze. She did not smoke around me and she told me she had been to several bars over the past months. I assume she was trying to pick up someone, male or female.

The Author knows what he is writing about because it seems like he has experienced it. Lets hear three cheers for all of the sluts that we can now get into their pants since they are single.

WellDelivered Lesson on Life

The only question I have is why she did not marry Robert

in the first place? If she had asked and answered that one

she probably would have shut him off immediately. He may have

in due time married her, but he wasn't the marrying kind.

Reality at last

It is a pleasure to read a story that deals and reveals reality. Not high school fantasy and boyish reaction to a real life problem. Kudos.

Dear TZ You have tobe an American

A british wimp?humiliarion writer would have had the husband sucking the dingleberriers off the bastards asshole. Glad to see someone with balls I mean real balls. Most husbands would rather wait and watch and possible get a hard on in their little dingus rather that do what yours did...Kudos to you.marriedwithballs@yahoo,com

Misclassified

Great story! Character was "Sam Spade" type. This was mistakenly classified as "Loving Wife". There was nothing erotic about this story. It should have been classified as "Non-erotic."

This is a real man

It a nice surprise to read a story where a man acts like he is supposed to. I am shocked and nauseated by the staggering number of stories in this site and sites on the net that show cuckold husbands, specially of the interracial kind. What is wrong with these guys? This story feels like fresh air.

Well done!

Glad to read a husband who did what he was meant to do!

Excellent

It was refreshing to read a story by a new author who is not one of the older "Classic" reconciliation at any cost authors on this site.

Loving Wives?

Misplaced story - belongs in the angry husbands section. Misspellings don't help generate sympathy either (get an editor who has a rudimentary knowledge of the language), which is all this seemed to aim to do. Why'd she marry him? Why'd he marry her? Who ends up caring? Sorry - been there, but got over it.

Nice but short

This is more of an outline for a story. OK, but too brief in that the characters are just sketched.

AnonymousAnonymousover 15 years ago
Short

but good enough. its in the right category. not every spouse are into voyuerism and some do believe in monogamy.

AnonymousAnonymousover 15 years ago
Several

I know several guys who had the same thing happen and feel the same way. One has two children he is raising, neither plans to ever get married. Thanks.

AnonymousAnonymousover 15 years ago
Thanks!

Finally, a believable "loving" wife story. Too many of these stories have the husband acting like a CPA tracing a check, not a man being betrayed.

Then, to top that, you got the legal end right too! I live in one of the few states where the Judge can use adultry to adjust the settlement, but they rarely do. In most other states, it doesn't matter if she slept with a different guy every day, she still gets the formula. In California, they have a program (Dissomaster) that everyone uses - you plug in the numbers and it spits out the settlement amounts. Any covert research is wasted time and expense.

Your story is that of revenge by natural consequences. It is too bad that she changed him for the worse by making him like her. btw, I agree with an earlier comment, you should redo this and flesh it out. The sparse details is why I only rated this 75% Regards, Ttom

A sequel, ten years later?

It would be interesting to read a sequel -"In due time, five (or ten) years later". Would the life of an older single dater in endless one night stands, still feel as great... To me, the ending sounds like a fine resolution - for a transitional, post divorce stage which should be enjoyed. But beyond that -why punish yourself? that is unless you say that all women (or people)are the same, or that you are too dumb to tell from a person's history, truthfullness in other areas etc, what kind of person you are dating.

the 2 kids, did they just disappear into thin air. You put in information that had no meaning to the story.

Not bad - liked the simplicity of the divorce [too bad for the slut wife].

Just another cheating slut wife that now understands, "once a cheater, always a cheater".

This is what happens when you cheat. Slut got what she deserved. NOTHING

The figures

1. He did a little mistake, he should act as a actor and should hide more assets before divorce so he could arrive a 40-60%. I like the smart managment of the cheating wives it will be more fruitful revenge..........

2. 45% of the wives do not cheat on her husbands, so to try longer time connection there is some succesful likelihood. 15-20% of the wives cheat only once twice or in the first marriage only, so 60-65% of them may be worth to live with them.

3. If the main character do not want any children (his own or step), he is right.......

The story was a little bit to short needed more depth to the characters and situation.

Good attempt though.

nice story, short and to the point

In the real world as it exists today, any man volunteering to get married should be committed for observation on grounds of probable insanity and seeking to harm himself... run away, young man, run away!!

Where's the revenge?

From what I've read, the husband achieved NO revenge. In fact, other than that punch in the restaurant,NOTHING even remotely resembling revenge was accomplished... neither later or sooner. LAME.

Duh

Just remember......A woman is a life support system for a custom. JUST REMEMBER THIS.

AnonymousAnonymousover 6 years ago
Amen

It is cheaper to hook up with a woman than to marry her. The way our divorce laws are written, one can only expect fewer marriages and long-lasting relationships as time moves on. The blame for the noticeable reduction in marriages? Our heavily biased divorce laws.

Pretty good story from this author. At least this one has an ending..

That worked!

As much as I like a good revenge story, the real revenge is living well. Two cheaters deserve one another, so give them what they deserve and escape the hell. I like that character.

Another selfish person. I do understand the hurt I went through it with my wife when she cheated on me. When I found out she had cheated on me I confronted her. The affair had already ended. She said she had no answer for what she had done. The guy had a heart attack and we visited with him he was still considered to me as a friend that was before I knew. I made it clear that he was not a friend and I didn't need to ever see or speak to him again. There were a lot of good memories but now I can't even enjoy them when our children bring up the past. One time actually move than once our son shortly before he left to go home said what a good old boy he was. I got quiet. After he left my wife asked what was wrong? O he's such a good old boy the homewreacking SOB. I'm sick of hearing our children and the comments they say. My wife said she was so sorry for the pain she caused. I said you have no idea. I have never cheated on you and never will. Later in bed I actually cried and she was hugging me and joined me crying also. We worked through it. I can't say it was like before. We were discussing it later and she said she really wanted to stay together but it was bothering her because she knew it was bothering me.i f I wanted she would find somewhere to move. I said i also wanted to stay together but it will take time. If you don't want to stay I won't stand in your way and if you leave I don't know if I would ever let you come back. I'm so sorry that I wasn't good enough enough for you not to cheat me and the children. She was crying and asked me to please hug her. We fell asleep hugging on our loveseat. We finally did get back to as normal as possible. A few years later while our daughter was visiting she asked how Sam and George were. Now Sam was a friend that was passing away in a nursing home but George was the SOB that just about wrecked our family. My wife gave a report on Sam. Then said George was there to visit Sam. Our daughter said shrank into a friend that works st that nursing home and she said she seen my wife and George in the cafeteria. I did my best not to blow up. I gradually went to the office and did some book work. When our daughter said dad I'm leaving i went to get my hug and kiss like always. She left. I put on my jacket. My wife asked what I was doing? I said I don't know. I asked you to never be around that homewreacking SOB again do you want is divorce. No George was just visiting with Sam. In the cafeteria? No actually Sam said Amy you and Wayne should go to the cafeteria and have a coffee on him. He Sam thought George was you. So the SOB wasn't happy with having my wife that I thought was mine and mine only he even wanted my coffee what a low life SOB you sure upgraded when you won that piece of shit. She said please don't leave me Wayne please I only talked to him and told him of the pain and problems that he and I caused. I put my jacket on and went to the barn and brushed a horse. She came out shortly and helped. I seen she had tears and I worked around the horse and and grabbed her pick her up carried her to the stack of hay laying her down and started kissing her. She was kissing back and saying how sorry she was and how much she loved me. I said I loved her more and if that SOB ever as much as touched her I would probably be in prison. Once in a blue moon he is brought up in conversation with the children. Haven't seen him in years. The funny thing is he and his family are on my prayer list. My wife says it not funny that I'm that good of a man.

3 stars - I liked this story - especially the last sentence.

The rest of the story was missing character development, dialog and a few more things.
