"If you'd never found out... we'd still be married... still be in the Garden of Eden," she noted at their final meeting before the divorce became final.

Phoenix... 2023

Callie transitioned back to the company's home office after the divorce was finalized. She was living alone in an apartment, not feeling like she needed to spend the money on a house.

She occasionally got together with her three old friends, but rarely was invited to spend time with any of them at their homes. She never again felt as connected to her friends as before she moved, before she got divorced.

She still never understood Kenny's refusal to see her relationship with Ian as anything less than cheating.

"I never took anything from him. What did it hurt?" she often asked her friends.

I've

Read several times and she is epitome of a selfish self-centered individual. Why her friends screwed her over and did this to her? Good thing its only a work of fiction.

Agree fully with desecration. A real stupid and selfish woman . She has built up this idea of compassionate sex and convinced herself about it just to assuage her own libido.

She seems fully delusional. The altruism usually conceals narcissism.

You always seem to close your stories so quickly. Could you please add more to the end. What happened to Kenny. How did she fare in later life.

There must be a term for a psychological disorder like this.
