very cool The first chunk blew me away. You've been there, haven't you?-- chick storms out then comes back with some kind of disconnect in the logic or the whole convo-- her stepping back in to the place she'd rejected felt solid. The story transitions well, but the narrative also undergoes a metamorphosis...

It is lovely to be able to raise this kind of subtle objection when so often there is far worse before one.
