Thanks for the comments. I didn't intend for Marie to come across as a bitch, but rather an independent woman, who liked sex and went after what she wanted. She awoke a possibility in Mark who had never before experienced a woman who used a man for sex, the way many men would use a woman, and even doubted that such women existed.
