Jesus, wasted a lot of time. Love is not an excuse to accept disrespect. That should be fairly obvious but too many get stuck behind fear of losing what they have not realizing it's already gone or nearly lost.

Reece literally tossed his wife on the bed. She bounced up and giggled while Griff dove onto the bed.

You NEED to edit! 'Reece' can't through his wife on the bed, she can throw herself on the bed. How can you not NOTICE glaring errors like that?

I honestly don't understand why he didn't divorce her the first time? 😕... counseling only works if the person is remorseful, and is HONEST about their transgression.. this wife never really admitted to the affair with John, her 60yro boss. She was banging him for months before his dumb ass found out.. he would've still been eating John's cum out of her, had it not been for his friend.. what baffled the entire fuck out of me was how quickly he was able to go back to trusting her. That's the problem when you break trust.. it's almost impossible to get back. And even if you do get it back, it won't be the same intensity. No way in hell he would've been trusting her to go out of town for "work" and not wonder, is it really for "work"?🤔.. no way he'd just believe what she tells him without verifying it first.. is anyone shocked that she was back to sucking and fucking strange men? 🤭😂😂😂😂😂🤭...I'm more shocked at the MC lack of brain matter.. again if someone hadn't told him about his slut wife, he would've continued to play her fool. 🙄.. the police had to tell him his whore wife was in the company of a man when she had her accident...it never occurred to him she would be back to riding strange dicks on her "business trips".. why? Because he went back to completely trusting her again after her 1st affair with john... when she started disrespecting him, and thinking she was better than him, still nothing.. he's at home waiting for her to return when she's done fucking a new guy🤭... why was he so wimpy? I don't understand why this marriage lasted so long? He told his attorney he didn't hire a PI because once he sees it, he can't go back...ummm😒😒, was he planning on giving her a 2nd/3rd chance?.. I don't understand why he would say that? It's like he held out hope to reconcile with her.. why? That relationship/love was one sided like mothafucka.. I would've wanted to know EVERYTHING.. he knew he couldn't get answers from her.. she can lie to him, while looking him dead in the eyes. She can downplay what she did.. like telling him it was only 5 guy.. sure😏🙄🤭....what about the abortion she had? The abortion she had done secretly as a result of one of her "business" trips. Meanwhile, she reneged on giving him children.. he would've knew exactly what type of cum guzzler he was dealing with had he hired a PI. her treachery ran deep. She fed him a cream pie on probably more than one occasion. Where was this "Love" she supposedly had for him? She didn't even respect him enough to douche her pussy out or tell that man she had a headache.. anything would've been better than giving him a cum soaked pussy. She wasn't remorseful she did it. Hell she missed the sex with John.. that should've told him she would stray again.. let's also not forget when he told her not to dance with John and as soon as he went to go piss... she didn't even blink when he came up to her and asked her to dance.. where was the respect for him?.. I didn't see it😂😂😂..she knew her marriage was hanging by a thread. Why would she disregard his wishes? .. I saw a woman who believed him to be a wimp who loved her so much....she could do whatever she wanted to do and fuck whoever she wants and he isn't going anywhere.. had it not been for his friend and her car accident , she probably could've kept this up 40yrs or more.. he would've still been the fool.. there's a reason most just cut their loses and divorce a cheater.. the relationship will never be the same. And forgiveness (depending on the cheater) set precedents.. it tells the cheater, 'oh, they forgave me once, he'll forgive me again"... my favorite is "he loves me so much, he wouldn't risk losing me"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.. I find the delusional sluts most fascinating and hilarious. I guess I should just be glad the MC finally got his head out of his ass to see what was right in front of him. I thought it would've been another stupid nonsense reconciliation.. I didn't like how he just stood back and allowed her to get away with so much.. cause he didn't really want to know. He didn't want to realize he's been an idiot this whole time.. when he found out about john.John.. he should've immediately divorced her and found someone who wasn't capable of lying to him, cheating on him and disrespecting him.. there's way too many fish in the sea to be holding on to something so toxic it could literally get you sick.. if she got pregnant by one of her affairs, that tells me she wasn't using protection, so it was fuck him and fuck his health. She would've eventually brought him home cream pies, side babies and STDS... life is too short to be wasting it on folks who aren't worth it.. she wasn't worth it.. he wasted a lot of time on the slut when he should've just moved on.. that saddened me a bit

The dialogue near the end, about having children, seems highly compressed. We go from 'time to end things, this isn't going to work. to 'let's go make babies' in like 30 seconds, perhaps less, depending on pauses in the written dialogue. Just not very... realistic. Willing to pull the eject lever that easily, without even having the discussion first? Alarm bells there for him, if nothing else. Another half page or so would have made it far more believable.

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Sorry, he was already a cuck by page 2. To allow it to go one second further, to stay married to her while she kept working in the same company as that asshole, who got off too easy? Then to just blindly 'get over it' after a while? Oh, hell no. He literally had this coming. Almost from the get go. her attitude initially was enough to turn anyone that thought with more than his eyes or his dick off.

The point of the story is Griff was blinded by love and filled with insecurities. Reece mentions the word love many times, but that word only applies to herself. Griff loves Reece. Reece loves Reece. Griff didn't hire a PI because he was afraid of learning the truth; the fact she didn't love or respect him, and then having to act and cut her off his life. Griff may have been a great accountant, but he was an insecure man acting like an Ostrich in order to remain in the dark. The end was predictable since the first unfaithfulness, the only question was... when? Thanks for the story.

Good story! 5*****!

.

I liked two things in particular. First, she took a break from cheating. That's unusual here. It shows a degree of calculation overriding impulse that she later throws away. Second, I think she demonstrated very clearly that some people need extra validation and cannot stand to be alone. That speaks volumes in terms of character development.

.

And some people don't know the definition of "cockold", but they do like to throw it around. I suggest that the author ignore them.

SarahwithloveSarahwithloveover 1 year ago

By letting her off the hook the first time, it accelerated her perceived superiority to the point where she felt entitled to have other men and inevitably lowered his worth at home and in the marriage. It was a bad situation that could only end poorly. This is the reason for the cliche, once a cheater always a cheater. Sure there are plenty of exceptions, some people change and never cheat again, but usually there is a huge reckoning involved, with the cheater needing the cheated too much to give up the marriage (financial, children, total remorse) A one time incident is survivable when the cheater maybe confesses and shows remorse, but this woman was too far gone.

The scene where she looked at the man’s hand for a ring jangled a nerve. I have not worn a ring since about our 15th anniversary. It was at that time that she told me of her 2-year affair with a man who rented a room in our house, followed by a short affair with a fellow choir member. We are now on year 45. Yes, still married, stayed because young girls need their mother, and yes, I am a chicken, and now, her dementia. Anyhow, no ring does not necessarily men “not married.”

I've read two Hooked1957 stories today.

And although well written.

My opinion only == I didn't like it.

Of all the stories in LW I think I for the first time, today hated Hooked husbands.

Told myself that both husbands deserved the pain they were dealt with by cheating wives because they did nothing for long. Two husbands SIMPs and wimps.

And what I got riled about these two stories?

The ending of both sure SUCKED.

I get two pages or more to read about the husbands getting cucked.

And when the tide turned against the wife and the husbands getting their fair justice, Hooked1957 just gave me a few paragraphs.

That really sucked.

Something that always bugged me was the saying, ala a great President, is "trust but verify".

Surely one of the pillars in a relationship, especially marriage, is trust. Would a idealistic life long relationship really survive the strains and rigors of career and life with one party constantly verifying?

Obviously Griff didn't do it even after the first foray of cheating came to light. It seems like he was in love, blind love. Tricky one there. Hell, you can't even trust yourself totally.

Hooked usually hits line drive five's, and this "WAMLAW" posting (1st of 3) is no exception. Interesting that in both this and the dtiverson, we have pill failure causing a pregnancy. With less happy results here, though all turned out well for Griff in the end. Reece, a bit less so, but she made her choices, and that's that. She reminds me of the FMC's in "Was It Worth It?" by CaseyEdwards and "Was The Cost Worth The Benefit" by SFbullrider, with maybe a little "Everything For The Career" by HeavyHeartsLament thrown in. This guy's a wimp. He told her he was tired of having her treat him with disrespect for the LAST FEW YEARS??? Years??? Really? Who puts up with that for YEARS??? I know my wife wouldn't, and she knows I certainly wouldn't tolerate it from her.

.

I won't take that off a stranger without getting in their face, so why in world would anyone put up with that from someone who's supposed to love them? It's not even a red flag: it's a death knell for your marriage. Unless she's got some humdinger of a story about what a horrible day at work she had, and how that translates into scorn for her husband, then it's over. And she was doing it for years? Nope.

.

It's not a matter of being macho or anything like that. The disrespect is just a symptom, not the cause, of a dying marriage. Everybody knows that. I've never seen a woman so beautiful that I'd allow her to shovel shit on my head, and certainly not for years. No way, and no doubt in my mind.

.

I think you've been feminized Hooker. You should try hanging out with other people for a while. Whoever you're taking advice from is leading you down a path you don't need to travel. 2 stars for the candyass MC.

Good story. I think Griff should have acted earlier. He should have insisted on a Post-nup requiring yearly polygraph exams and a heavy penalty for adultery. Maybe Renee has finally figured it out that having no-strings sex with multiple men may be pleasurable for a small amount of time, but what about the rest of the time? They aren't there at home to help take care of all of a normal life's chores, they aren't there to take care of you when your sick, or feeling down, etc... All they want is sex. She may be rich, but her looks will fade and she won't have anyone to share it with. I hope she likes cats...

"Her narcissistic personality did her in. Husband could only put up with it so long, longer than I would have put up with it."

I agree 100% with that statement. She was totally narcissistic in her behavior and thinking. She was also self absorbed in herself to think she was queen, and everyone else was low hanging fruit. It kind of reminded me about the story "Let Go" about the wife who became CEO (without fucking her way to the top), and fires her top salesman husband. She only gets back with her husband after he left her and found a new job in purchasing for one of her biggest customers. If it hadn't been for the 2 kids they helped raise, they would have never gotten back together. In this case, she didn't want kids, and the blond bombshell did. That's why he married her, and took her to Hawaii for their 25th anniversary. Also why they were sharing pics of the grand baby around the table at the coffee shop at the end. He was living a life well. We don't know about her (never gets told in the story), maybe that top office keeps her warm at night being alone in it.

Sorry, while it was a decent read, it wasn't all that great of a read. Especially since she was cheating on him for years, and he never knew it (trusted her too much).

PowersworderPowersworderover 1 year ago

Not a fan of this one because the husband was so weak.

If he strongly suspected her of having an affair, why didn't he stick a PI on her and find out for sure?

Instead he has to live with his doubts about her obvious lies, and always wonder how far she went with the boss. How can any man live like that? And he puts up with her arrogance and disrespect for 20 years?! Fuck that!

-

The story did have an important message though:

Never get married to a career woman. They make terrible wives, with totally borked priorities. The more senior they are, the shittier the spouse they'll be... And I'm not even talking about infidelity, of which she'll have many opportunities if there's business travel.

Pretty good effort…along with two other stories. Keeping all that running through your head might have led you to miss “Reece literally tossed his wife on the bed.” Lots of “evil” women populate LW, but Reece has to be among the top ten. For me the story was more about Reece than Griff, exploring how a self-entitled person might think. Scary prospect to be married to a person like that.

Cleverly done. I naturally believed Griff was reminiscing about his wife of 25 years on their anniversary cruise. Then Reece fucked her boss, John, and I’m now thinking Griff forgave her for her indiscretion. In the back of my mind I’m thinking he doesn’t know what she did. While the two are advancing in their respective fields I’m thinking Hooked1957 has erred with the timeframe as they need to get pregnant soon if their kids are gonna be in college for their 25th anniversary. They get older and still no kids. Then Reece gets preggy and aborts. How can Griff forgive Reece for aborting a child he always wanted. Finally I concluded Griff’s 25th anniversary was with another woman. Griff never knew about her abortion, or the extent of her cheating. Glad for Griff. Four stars.

Nice story of one spouse thinking that they're all that, or the phrase "their shit doesn't stink," & think they can do whatever they want bec. their entitled to it somehow. As long as the other spouse doesn't know... which they always found out. My one thing with this story: he learned his wife's cheating on him & didn't hire a PI? "Coward", which the husband said he was, isn't strong enough. Spineless, weak, wimpish are better adjectives. It's not he couldn't afford it - IDK why he wouldn't want to know for sure & then handle things accordingly. Also, there's the sex diseased worms (hehe) that could be detrimental to one's health & even life. However, I liked the story overall... 4 stars. Bob

Why would he have continued to allow her to work for a CEO that she had an affair with? Initially she should have quit the job or been divorced. The fact that she continued to work there was absurd. Which led to her moving up more in the corporate ladder and that feeling of entitlement.
