Click here"Oh..." Donna wipes her hands on his pants. "Sure, that would be nice."
The girls look at each other. I get the distinct impression they've never been invited into the kitchen before. They don't have time to think about it, Derek and Taylor push them off the sofa and towards the kitchen.
I make it a point to let the girls take point on the dish, allowing them to bask in the spotlight. "The key is to not overcook the swiss chard," I tell them quietly.
The smile on their faces when everyone sits down and takes their first bites is everything, but it's nothing compared to the happiness that exudes from Derek and Taylor, knowing their fiancées got to cook in their mom's kitchen for the first time.
Jay squeezes my thigh under the table and leans in close. "I love you."

Jay makes everyone squeeze in for a selfie on the tarmac outside of the private jet.
"Don't be a stranger," Taylor says. "Maybe we can come visit you soon?"
"You're always welcome."
Donna and Robert hand me a bag. "It has some of the best Wisconsin has to offer."
"Thank you, I'm sure it's great."
"There's more where that comes from," Donna says. "But you gotta come back for it."
Taylor gives Derek a knowing look, then they look at me, daring me to tell them there isn't validity to what they told me last night. Jay really is clueless. He doesn't see any of it. As I board the plane, I brace myself for what will ultimately be a terrible conversation, but Derek and Taylor are great men and they deserve someone to advocate for them. Like Derek said, a good family isn't a perfect family. There may not be hope for me to have that good family unit, but there's still hope for them.

I wonder if that matter of Jay's family can be resolved soon. It's a typical family situation to have, although I wonder what's the best option here, for Loren to do small nudges here and there or elaborate the situation to Jay? At the very least, the family still has a good dynamic. After all, it's not unusual for anything to have flaws.
Anon 5 months ago,
Are you the same anon commenting in the previous chapters? From your comments, you seem to shut down in relationships where you and your partner don't share the same ideals, and seem to be scared to talk it out. A healthy relationship is one where you talk about that and both sides would grow over time with all that on the table if the frelings are mutual. If you just decide to break it up every time a conflict of ideals occurs, you're making it impossible to have an ideal relationship in the first place. Besides, observer how both Loren and Jay reacted. Being disappointed is expected here, and they didn't blow the situation up into a ridiculous drama. They're going towards the correct direction, if you ask me.
This is great !!! We get deeper in Jay’s life to see his family life complicated and he’s oblivious to the fact. I liked the lead up to the sex the conversation was fun … waiting for more. It’s not always about sex and this chapter was amazing … Loren got to see Jay’s life isn’t perfect that makes him know some things are not sometimes what they seem or appear to be and it looks like jay will too.. . More asap thank you
Reality is settling in for them and makes Loe feel a little more comfortable with family dynamics. Good for everyone in the end.
The continuation of such a fabulous and positive love story is so rewarding to read. It leaves me feeling warm all over with a huge smile on my face. Excellent story and storytelling. You are truly gifted and blessed.
I really like the story and getting to know everyone. I’m glad it’s more than just sex and like that fans give Loe hell.
It’s not like nobody knows what Loren’s past looks like. Everyone does, if they want to or not. Not talking about it won’t make it change. Is it awkward? Sure, but Loren is trying to tell him that he likes what they have. There is no pressure. He can be himself. He’s never had that before. Being vanilla is a good thing.
I can’t shake the unwelcome feeling that Jay and Loe want very different things in life. They may compromise to make the other happy, but will they themselves truly be happy? The conversation between Loe and the brothers was very hard to read. And the discussion of kinky sex with the brothers and girls and then all that talk about how Loe has done anything you can think of with so many other men… absofuckinglutely awkward as hell. I would hate to hear my soulmate talk like that.
