Very sweet and hot. I've got a few similar stories of my own. This has inspired me to put pen to paper to tell them.
Jesus, man. That last part was fucking sad. Please don't give up on your present and future. Those moments in the past are great, but they don't exist anymore. I'm saying this as someone that read what what you wrote and feels deep concern for a stranger. If fixing things is worth it, do it. If not, create something new and live a life that makes the hardship worth the struggle.
Other than that, hot story. It's a real scenario which makes it hotter. Had something similar happen when I bicycled the Pacific coast. She was just a random hiker from Seattle and we met in the Cascades. Dinner, a day hike, and a passionate night in a tent.
