A slight correction - a Neep is not a turnip but a swede or rutabaga, yellow turnip, Swedish turnip! A turnip is sometimes called a nips. A Neep is actually a cross between a white turnip and a cabbage!
Nice story but this amnesia thing is hanging over the whole romance, and is getting old. He loves her or he doesn't, but it can't go on like this much longer and keep my interest.
Tosh.
As a Glaswegian, I have to say that no one, but no one, speaks like that.
Beautiful journey- reminds me of my brief courtship with my bride of 35+ years! 5*
I would agree with anonymous about Glaswegians talking like this! Actually you are more than likely to hear something similar on the East Coast/North East coast of Scotland.
You’ve mixed up some colloquialisms, but a decent attempt. Most of the vernacular used was East Coast of Scotland- Tayside and the Lothians.
Sauchiehall Street hasn’t had a high end shop on it in 40 years! Haggis, Neeps and Tatties? Curries and seafood are more likely!
Again a great adventure in life looking forward to the next step. keep going
