This is a longer version of the crappy "Why in our bed". Just making a story longer doesn't make it any less crappy. Fix the ending. It was forced RAAC. How about giving the guy some booty after he moved away so he can reclaim his balls before he gives them back to his wife?

Thought I recognised this tale .

The plot works well enough . I just don't understand why the reconciliation .

Six years invested in a relationship is hardly any time at all . Should be grateful something like this didn't occur twenty years down the road , and that with kids involved .

I get it that his boss is a serial predator , but she has to be something of a weak minded soul to buy into his scam .

I think she was having her bit of fun on her terms , using his boss for her own ends .

Having it all blow up this way , she is now wealthy with or without her husband .

His decision not to divorce , not to bother with a postnup , is probably a divorce further down the road when she gets caught indulging herself again .

Here's the 1* you got for the first edition, pulling it and adding a little bit to it and calling it something new is poor form! 1* Where are the minus scores?

Me? The only problem I had was that he loved the role playing but reacted so strongly and negatively when he got the messages. Those two things don’t go together.

When I read the story something bothered me about the boss and wife part till later I figured it out. As the story goes the boss blackmailed the wife in having sex with him to save the husbands job, OK with that part but? If the wife was blackmailed then how did the boss know about the cuckold role playing the wife and husband did. Better yet why would she tell the boss about it in the first place. The boss wouldn't know, all he wanted was sex but he knew. I don't see the husband tell his boss about wanting to be cuckold and the story kind of lets you know he didn't then why did the wife tell the boss about it. Only the husband and wife knows what goes on in their bedroom. No, the boss didn't blackmail the wife, the wife offered sex to the husbands boss to play out the cuckold playing she was doing with her husband, even when he talked to her she let it out of the bag. I think the boss gave in to the fake story because he already destroyed two other marriages and he would of lost the case anyway to the husband for screwing the wife he just wanted the impact to be less on him if he would lie to save the marrige. I wish someone would rewrite the end with the dumb husband putting two and two together about the wife and boss!

I'm all for recycling paper, plastics and other types of garbage, but recycling this trash is just cruel. You couldn't even fix the obvious factual and grammatical errors, let alone the weak-ass ending, so why bother? Thankfully I realized what this was pretty quickly so as not to waste any more of what can't be recycled... my time.

It is a good story regardless of the critics. BTB are over rated and usually ridiculous. By the way, given the woke culture today, I really doubt the #4 would have gone to jail. I can't imagine a jury which is usually mostly women these days, convicting him given the history (which is actually relevant). Careful of you use of terms though. The UK uses the words "redundant" in the US one is just on the "short list" for a layoff. In the 90's we called them RIFs (reductions in force) but most people called them layoffs. Also, you use the term meal and preparing food. Most Americans say "our food arrived" and "making or make <insert meal name>". When faced with financial ruin or betrayal, you choose financial ruin every time. She missed the point, the fundamental value. I do feel sorry for her and the reconciliation is almost credible, but it would make more sense if he took it slow.

I know I read this same story before. Not sure about author or site, but same story. It was still good, but not a 5.

I don't agree with the cuckold comments. Wife was pretty much an idiot, but she appears to love him. Story much better than the Mexico mess.

I am trying hard to separate the story ending with the whole piece. It's well written and developed. But not good enough for a five. Why? Simply because the story lacked that thing that makes a reconciliation plausible. Children. They had NO children.

You don't have kids with someone you know has lied, manipulated and deceived you. I get it. She was blackmailed and manipulated. But she deliberately tried turning this into a cuck situation which is disrespectful to her husband.

In the end, she chose to protect THE STUFF they had accumulated.

Again, if they had a child threatened maybe. So the reconciliation was not plausible. It fell flat. "I loved her." Yeah, we all have loved someone who betrayed us at one time or another. We don't have children with them.

And that is why I did not give it a 5.

I have a feeling that you had reconciliation in mind from the start. My suggestion. Next time you do one of these stories. Make the reconciliation almost necessary. That he did it because he was an honorable man. In this case, the husband did it because he was weak. Characters always need motivation. Motivation. Motivation.

Johnson was the immediate boss and seemed like the owner/CEO/president of the company to afford an $10million out, and not an insubstantial company. Or I guess Jihnson is worth a lot — company or Johnson worth at least $50million if he can afford that payout — a big company. So that makes hubby about a VP if Johnson is his boss? But he seems like he’s a working technician of sorts. Just doesn’t make sense.

I have some serious problems with the ending of this story, or lack thereof.

Let me explain:

Now, I don't mind stories of reconciliation and forgiveness. In fact some of my favorite cheating and betrayal stories involve reconciliation, and the rest of my favorites, at least closure. This story had none of those.

For a story about people in a relationship to be any good, in my opinion, when they face problems, at some point they have to address them and grow from the experience. Otherwise, what is the point of the story? These people didn't do any of that.

Anna chose to trust her blackmailer more than her husband. That is a complex form of betrayal, and even if it was mentioned, it was never really discussed. Just left as an open question, and swept underneath the carpet.

Anna introduced a cuckolding fantasy into their sex life when she was being blackmailed, and the MC did seem to respond to it with arousal, confusion, fear, and uncertainty. But he also set a clear boundary to only keep it as fantasy. Why did Anna choose to indulge in this fantasy? You have to wonder if she, at some level, wasn't turned on by the whole situation. It seems likely. That could have been an interesting story, but like with Anna's lack of trust, none of this was ever really addressed. Again, swept under the carpet to fester and rot.

So what really happened in this story?

A couple, very much in love, was subjected to a horrible situation. Wife chooses not to talk about it, and handles it badly. Husband finds out, chooses not to talk about it, and handles it badly. They figure out they are a couple, very much in love, change nothing, and live happily ever after. The booger man is punished harshly for his sins.

If this was a real couple, they would be headed right for the same type of trouble. They wouldn't even need another booger man to get there. They are plenty dysfunctional, and unwilling to learn, to get there by themselves.

I re-read this again before grading it poorly. Sorry, sure real men can forgive. However, trust is also apart of a loving relationship and she broke it - hugely! How do you not trust your own husband with this situation? It's not even rape b/c she WILLFULLY chose to have sex with him!
