"Erik, please listen to me," She started. "I know your upset for how you must have felt. But there was no way you could have known, so there is nothing to feel bad about now."

"Do you understand me?" She asked.

Erik sighed, "Yes, I guess I do, in my head. But in my heart is another thing all together. That might take a little more time."

Katja hugged his arm and laid her head on his shoulder and lightly purred. She knew this always calmed him down. Erik looked down at her and laid his head on top of hers. He knew what she was doing and he loved he for it. He kissed the top of her head and continued talking to his sister.

"So," He asked, "What are you doing now, are you working?"

Helen took a moment and the said, "Well, I'm looking for work right now, it's a little hard to find anything when you have a supposedly eight-year gap. I was working under the name they had me use, but now, I'm back to my real name and I can't tell them about the other. They're helping me with money and housing until I get back to normal. After all, they sort of owed me for the information I gave them. But that won't last forever, nor do I want it to. I just want everything back to normal, if you know what I mean."

"Yes, I can understand that, it must be rough. Look, I can't get out to you right now, there's too much going on here. But that doesn't mean you can't come here. Do you think you could come here, say two days from now? I would really like to see you."

Then Helen said sadly, "I don't think so Erik, I can't afford the ticket."

Then Erik said, "Look, I didn't say you get a ticket, I'll take care of all that. If you can make it in two days, there'll be a ticket in your name at the airport. All you need to do is show up at the counter and tell them your name. Okay?"

Helen was happy, she really did want to see him. So, she said, "Yes Erik, I can. I'm looking forward to it, I do miss you very much."

Erik swallowed and said, "Good, I'll make all the arrangements as soon as we finish here, I miss you to. And I want you to meet my mate, and just to let you know, you're going to be an aunt in about six months."

"Oh, that's wonderful news. Now I really can't wait to see you both." She replied happily.

"Well it's only a couple of days until you can. Do you have an email I can send the itinerary to?" He asked.

"Yes, I do," She gave him the info on it.

"All right then," Erik said, "Just give me about twenty minutes or so, and I'll have all the info to send to you. I miss you sis, I can't wait to see you again, we'll be waiting at the airport to pick you up. I love you."

Helen replied with a catch in her voice, "I can't wait to see you to Erik, and I love you also."

They hung up and Erik pulled Katja into his lap. He wrapped his arms around her and started to cry again as he said, "I love you my mate, I can't thank you enough for making this happen."

Katja kissed him back, her eyes shiny with tears also. "I love you also Erik, and all I did was ask a question."

Erik sniffed and kissed her again replying, "Yes, but you always know the right question to ask kitten."

Then he said to her, "Let me borrow your computer so I can get her a flight."

Katja handed it to him and asked if he wanted something to drink. Erik smiled and nodded, then went back to looking for flights. He finally found the one he wanted and made all the arrangements. He downloaded a copy of it and emailed it to her. Then he and Katja sat watching TV for a while and talking. About fifteen minutes later, his phone rang and he saw it was Helen.

"Hey Sis," He answered happily. "Did the itinerary go through okay?"

Then the next thing he knew, she said, "Erik, what did you do?"

He was a bit stunned, he didn't know what she was talking about. "What do you mean? I'm a little confused." He said to her.

"Erik, I'm talking about the plane ticket." She told him.

"Helen, maybe I'm a little slow tonight, what about it? It's a plane ticket for two days from now like we talked about. If it's the airline, I can change it to another. I picked that one because they had the times I wanted and it's the one I normally use."

He heard Helen sigh, "No Erik, it's not the airline. This is a first-class ticket, that's way too expensive."

Then it dawned on him. It was much like when Katja asked him about all the money he was spending redoing the house for her and Ariel. He hardly ever thought about money anymore, he had more than he'd ever needed.

"Helen, it's no big deal. I have plenty of money, what I don't have is a sister here. So just get on the flight and get here. Please."

Helen was stunned by what he said. "He had plenty of money" Was not a phrase she was used to hearing. "Well, okay, if you say so. But I don't like you spending all that money on me."

Erik laughed, "Don't worry about it sis, your worth it. We'll be waiting for you when you get in. Okay?"

Helen sighed, "Okay, I'll see you two days from now. I love you Erik."

"I love you to sis, I'll see you in a couple of days." He told her happily. Then he hung up.

Then Katja asked, "She was upset about the cost of the ticket I gather."

Erik nodded, "Yeah, I guess it was sort of like when you asked me when we were redoing the house." He shrugged, "I have money and if I can't spend it on the people I love, what's the sense of having it. I'm at the point where I don't even think about it anymore, so I sort of forget that not everyone is like that."

Katja smiled, "From what I've read and seen, the problem Erik, is that you don't act like you do. While we live very comfortably here, it's not some kind of ...... What's the word?"

Erik grinned, "I think you mean mansion."

Katja smiled, "Yes, that's the word. Unless you're taking me out to some place fancy, you wear jeans and a T-shirt most of the time. And your car is just a normal car."

Erik smiled, "I've never liked all that kind of fancy things. As long as I'm comfortable, I'm happy. I don't need to put on airs just to prove I have money, that's not who I am."

Katja hugged his arm. "And that's another reason I love you. I wouldn't want you any other way."

He pulled her in his lap and kissed her, their tongues playing together. The he held her putting his face in her hair and neck, one of his favorite places, and breathed in her scent deeply. He licked her ear and said. "I love you so much kitten."

Then she kissed and licking his ear and whispered to him, "And I think you should use that tongue of yours in a much better place." She kissed his ear again and purred.

Erik grinned as he stood holding her. "As you wish kitten." And he carried her cradled to him into their bedroom.

They left the ship at lunch time on Friday, then were going to stop for something to eat on the way to the airport. It took about an hour to get to there, so with stopping to eat, they'd get there in plenty of time to meet Helen.

They were waiting outside the security area for her, and as this was Katja's first time in an airport, she was looking all around at the place and all the people. Erik smiled at her, "Interesting place, isn't it?"

Katja smiled and nodded. There were so many different people here. "It kind of reminds me of the space port back on home world."

Erik grinned back. He had explained to her what all the different things were and he also held her close to him. He remembered how she had been the other time at the village and what she had told him.

Katja smiled to herself as they held each other close. She knew why he was doing it, he normally did anytime they were out in a big crowd now without even thinking about it.

Erik looked up at the status board and saw that Helens flight had just gotten in. It shouldn't take much time for her to get here since she was in first class and would be one of the first ones off the plane.

Helen had boarded the flight at LAX and was a bit flustered as she took her seat in the first-class section. As soon as she sat down, the flight attendant asked if she wanted anything to drink. She had offered her wine or Champaign, but it was a bit early for her, so she asked her for an orange juice. The attendant smiled and quickly brought it back saying if she needed anything else to just press the call button.

Once the plane was loaded, they taxied to their runway and after a short wait, took off. Helen hadn't been on a plane in ages, she never flew all that much, just a few times. And never in first class. She was pretty much waited on the whole flight; the food was very good and the seat was extremely comfortable, as compared to the seats in the back of the plane.

Once she had landed, she was one of the first off the plane and walked into the terminal. She looked for which way to go and headed into the airport. As she walked through the security area, she looked around and then saw Erik standing next to and holding the arm of the most stunning woman she had ever seen. She was a bit stunned by the tail and her cats' ears, they never saw any of the newcomers where she was living, just pictures and news reports, but they enhanced her beauty instead of making it out of place. She ran up to Erik and dropped her bag, then threw her arms around his neck to hug and kiss him.

They both had tears in their eyes as they looked at each other, and Erik said "I love you sis. I missed you."

Helen told him the same and then he introduced Katja to her.

"Helen, this is my Mate Katja. Katja, my sister Helen."

Helen smiled and "It's a pleasure to meet you Katja, and thank you for getting us back together."

Katja smiled, "It's a pleasure to meet you also Helen. But all I did was ask a question, I'm just glad that we have our sister back with the family."

Helen looked at her when she said our sister and was a bit confused. Erik laughed and told her. "Our people don't have "In-laws" like humans do, since we're mated, you are considered an actual member of her family also, hence sister." He laughed again, "You don't realize it yet, but you've gained an entire family."

Helen smiled and nodded. "Yes, I think we'll have a lot of catching up and things to talk about."

Then Erik asked as they started walking, "Do you need to go to baggage claim?"

Helen shook her head no, "I just have this one."

Erik nodded, then they headed to his car. They talked on the way home, Erik explaining what he was doing and how he and Katja met. They finally pulled in to the driveway and Erik came around and opened the door for Katja. She smiled and kissed him saying thanks, then he did the same for Helen. Katja led Helen up to the house while Erik got her bag out of the trunk, then followed them up.

Once in, they showed Helen to her room and Erik put her bag on the bed. Then they went out to the living room and Erik asked if they wanted anything to drink. They both said yes, and Erik got them all some something. Then he sat on the couch with them, Katja holding his arm and curled up like normal.

Helen looked around the living room and said, "This is a very nice place Erik."

He nodded, "Yes, I got lucky when I found it. It was one of those fixer uppers, so I redid the whole place like I wanted." Then he laughed, "Of course, I had to do some more when Katja and I got Mated and our roommates moved in with us. They're going out for dinner tonight, so they'll be here later. Ariel was Katja's old roommate on the ship, and her mate, Tony, is an old friend of mine from my Navy days. I think I mentioned him to you before, you'll like them a lot."

Then Helen looked around some more and saw Cleo's house. She looked at Erik and said, "Who lives in that?" She pointed to it.

Erik laughed, "That's my other roommates house, Cleo. She lived here before I met Katja."

He called to her and after a moment, she stuck her head out of the door and meowed.

Katja laughed, "She wants to know why your waking her up."

Erik laughed, "I'm waking you up because my sister is here and I want you to meet her Cleo."

Cleo sat in front of her house and cocked her head to look at him. Then she meowed a couple times.

Katja laughed again, "She asked why didn't you say so, instead of just saying come here for a minute"

Helen looked between Erik, Katja and Cleo. She had a stunned look on her face and asked, "You can actually talk to her?"

Katja smiled, "Oh yes, certainly. I can talk to her more now than when I first got here, we had to learn each other's language a little better."

Then Helen looked at Erik and he just rocked his hand back and forth. "I can't the way Katja does, but I do understand some of it and she understands me about the same."

Helen shook her head, "That's really amazing."

Cleo came over and jump up on the couch. She greeted Erik and Katja first, then she looked at Helen and walked over to her to get in her lap. She turned to Erik and meowed. And Erik smiled, "Helen, this is Cleo. Cleo, my sister Helen."

Helen looked at her and Cleo stood up and sniffed at her cocking her head. Then she patted her face and licked her cheek. Then she meowed and purred again, before jumping down and going back to her house.

Katja smiled and said to Helen, "She said, "Welcome to our house, sister of my human. It was nice to meet you."

Helen shook her head not believing all this. Erik smiled, "You'll get used to it sis."

Then he asked, "So, how long can you stay?"

Helen smiled, "Well my return ticket is for next Tuesday. So..."

Erik shook his head, "Don't worry about that, I had to make it round trip so you wouldn't get hassled by security. They don't like to see one-way tickets, you can stay as long as you want."

She looked at him, "Well I guess, as long we can put up with each other. I didn't bring all that much with me, but I can wash the clothes."

Erik waved that off, "Don't worry about that. Katja can take you over to a couple of shops she and Ariel go to."

Hellen got a little embarrassed, then said, "Erik, I don't have that kind of money to just go buy things."

Erik sighed, "Hellen, I didn't ask if you had the money. If you need or want more clothes, just go get them."

Helen looked at Erik a little irritated, "Erik. I will not have you spending all your money on me. The plane ticket was bad enough. Let alone you paying for my clothes."

Erik sighed, "Helen, please come over here would you." He stood and went over to his desk and opened his computer. He called up two files, then said to her, "I want you to look at this." The first was his checking account, the total on that $20,000.00.

She looked at that stunned, then he showed her the other that listed his net worth. That was about 1.2 Million.

Helens mouth dropped as she saw the totals and she looked at him stunned. Erik said, "Now do you understand why I don't give a flying rats ass what you need to spend?"

Hellen looked at him stunned, "But how did you get all that?"

Erik grinned and kissed her, "I don't know jack about finance. But I have friends that do, they advise me and help me invest in things. I've been doing it ever since I was in the Navy."

He walked her back to the couch, "You see how I live here, this house is bought and paid for as is my car. I don't have to work, I did because I wanted to, and now I do it because what I do is important to our people and I was asked by someone I respect."

Then he smiled, "So, if you need something, buy it. And stay as long as you want. Hell, move here if you want and tell me what you want to do, I'll call my contacts and you'll have a job."

Helen looked at her little brother with tears rolling down her face. Katja slid over and took her hand, "Sister, my mate speaks the truth. You can do this and restart your life back as it was meant to be. We know of what you went through. But nothing of what happened, means anything anymore. Put it all behind you, since you can't do anything about the past, it means nothing. The future is what's important."

She looked at both of them. Then she said quietly, "I never thought about getting my life back, the last years have been horrible. Not being able to talk to anyone about it, even family. The not knowing what was going to happen next. I really don't know what I should do."

Erik sat down next to her. Put his arm around her shoulder and said to her, "Helen, it's not a matter of what you should do, it's a matter of what you want to do. All you need to do is say, I want to do this. Then do it. It's that simple. And don't ever let anyone tell you it's not."

She looked at Erik and then at Katja, who nodded to her, "He is right sister. Chose and it will be so."

She looked at Katja, then at Erik. "I think I want to be here with all of you." Then she started to cry again as she was hugged by Erik and Katja.

Then Erik said, "Then it's settled. You can stay here for now until we get everything straighten out. The rest can wait a week or so before we take care of it."

"Now, I don't know about you two, well Katja I already know the answer, But I'm hungry, let's just get some pizza tonight. Okay?"

Helen smiled and nodded. And Katja said, "Well, I am sort of hungry, so yes."

Erik laughed, "I knew you would be kitten."

Erik called up and ordered the pizza, then he asked Helen, "While were waiting, tell me what you were doing to for living before everything happen."

Helen smiled, "I was an executive assistant, sort of like a secretary, but a lot more. I did the secretarial stuff for my boss, but I also set things up for him, like meeting and other things." She laughed, "If I wasn't doing it, he would have two meeting scheduled at on time."

"I also kept track of some of the different things he was working, projects and the like"

Erik smiled, "Did you like that? Would you want to do that again or something else?"

Helen nodded, "Yes, I guess I did. I knew everything that was going on and like I said, I kept track of things to make sure it was getting done, so it was interesting."

Erik nodded, "Okay, I call around to my contacts and see what's around."

Then he said, "Why don't you two come with me." They followed him to her room, and asked them. "OK, since you're going to be here for a while, what else do you want or need in your room? I'm figuring some kind of chair, a desk and a TV and a stand to put it on. kind of like I did in Ariel's. Can you think of anything else?"

Helen said, "A small book case would good." Katja looked around and then said to her, "Some shelves maybe?" Helen nodded.

Erik smiled, "Ok, here's what we'll do. Tomorrow's Saturday, we can go out and get most of that and I can put all together. The chair might take a couple of days. Katja, remember that one we were looking at when we brought the couch, think that would be nice in here?"

Katja smiled, "Yes, I think that would do good."

Erik smiled again, "We've got a plan then." Then he handed Katja some money for the pizza. "I want to check on that book case and TV stand I have out in the garage and see what kind of shape their in."

Erik went out and did look at the two items but that wasn't the real reason. He pulled out his phone and dialed Uncle Geoff's number. The phone rang a few times and he answered. Then Erik said, "Hello uncle Geoff, it's Erik, you have a few minutes to talk? It's not a bad time is it?"

"Erik, it's good to hear from you. Yes, I've got a few minutes. There's no problems are there?"

"No sir, no problems. I remember when we were talking a few weeks ago, you were complaining about not being able to keep track of everything and setting things up, so on and so forth. You still looking for an answer to that problem?"

Uncle Geoff replied, "Oh yes, certainly. It's getting worse right now with everything getting ready to start up on the town. You have some kind of answer to this?"

"Well sir, I think I do. It's like this." He proceeded to tell him everything about his sister and what Katja had found out. He added that he had convinced her to stay here. "So, she's looking for a job."
