As much I adore your other stories, I was really looking forward to this episode and it certainly lived up to expectations.

Like this series around WWII. This piece, like the others, A perfect blend of history, politics — social and otherwise — romance and a bit of suspense. Oh, and a sex scene that brings a smile and a flush of endorphins. All that served with wit and Pixie perfect humor — colorful adjectives indeed. Sadly coincidental I’ve been rereading some of Maonaigh’s pieces — very nice memories.

Dr beulahthemick; At last, after nearly twelve months Lady P returns, oh Pixie, I'm well aware that your mind creates a plethora of engaging stories and characters with many plots that draw us all in, but to me Lady P is special. I do not know if you, yourself are a historian, but your grasp on the period is really good. (My own expertise is early modern, but I read any historical text book I can find). More ASAP and five stars naturally.

So sorry to hear of Maonaigh’s passing. I always enjoyed his work and his comments on your stories. One can only hope there is a way for him to finish reading this wonderful story in the afterlife. And, in regards to this story, I was amazed that I hadn’t forgotten a bit of the details despite the rather lengthy intermission between chapters. That is obviously a testament to Miss Pixiehoff’s ability to create memorable characters and narratives. Introducing June as Lady P’s staff driver was perfect. It provided a logical basis for everything that followed. I am a bit frustrated that there is always a need to hide the lifestyle of our heroine and others, but it is, unfortunately, historically accurate. Still, this story remains a uniquely captivating and enjoyable retelling / recounting of those perilous times. And the cliffhanger ending has me eagerly anticipating the next chapter. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
