So far if I'm following it: Mauro (Ella's father) owes Evan a large sum of money and Evan has taken Ella in payment, or as a ransom, correct? Was this arranged and Mauro is having second thoughts, or did Evan just see her and decide to do it because he wanted to, or had he been planning this all along? Is Evan some sort of organized crime boss, or is what he doing legal in this story? Please keep writing.

Will Ella be told why she is in Evan's hands?

@Phil_Patsfan: Evan legally owns Ella. Mauro and Evan made a deal and a contract. My apologies for any confusion! (Keep in mind that this is my first story I'm still working out some kinks *no pun intended* ;) However I was indeed planning on going deeper into the whole backstory to clarify next chapter so feel special and don't tell anybody what's going to happen next!! ;)

PS (follow up question answer) I can't tell you. Tis a glorious secret!

But your answers have just generated more questions. I assume that in the reality you have created in your story, slavery, or the ownership of one person by another is legal. Given that is the case, why would her father allow this to happen to his daughter? I certainly would not. What kind of deal does a man make that allows his own flesh and blood to be sold into slavery? Why wasn't Ella warned of the possibility of this happening so that she could be prepared for it. She will be going from "rich girl" to sex slave because of someone else's actions and misdeeds (her father's and Evan's). This seems rather unfair to her (I suppose that's why it's posted as a nonconsent/reluctance story). I know I have asked a lot of questions but his is what I do when I get interested in a story (ask Waterburn ("The Last Tritan") -- we have had many such "conversations" about her story!). Anyway, I am enjoying your story, I think it's well written and intriguing, and I plan to continue reading it. I do hope the resolution is a happy ending for Ella, I think she deserves it (I'm not sure about her father). Please keep writing! no one likes an unfinished story.

All in good time my dear! Oh please don't worry about it I adore being asked questions! It actually helps in the whole writing process. I am obsessed with the last tritan!! (And the rebellious slave by hispet21) So I know the feeling.

In this story it is set in the future after a divide in the country so it's a part of its own separate "world". I do plan on explaining further in chapter 4 about their laws and the contract so I can tell you no more! If I do I'd have to kill you and where's the fun in that? I've been reading "TRS" as well! And a few others ("The Reluctant Journey", "Telos", The "Finding Home" series, to name a few) . When will your next chapter be out?

Well let's just say not for a while. Super duper busy with a bunch of stuff and kinda having a hard time finding words (shocking because I never shut up) but I pinky swear as soon as I figure out an approximate time I will let you know!!:)
