I hope you enjoyed the last two chapters. I am going to skip forward a little. I am still not sure how many more chapters there will be. I have at least two in the works now. This one is for fun and ties some things together. Copyright LATL November 2022.

Life after the Lottery, CH 78

Another Big Surprise for Dawn!

Amy and Samantha returned home from their NLP school in Canada on the third weekend of July. Dawn and Samantha were driving Amy and me crazy. They were talking non-stop about going to the airshow as they hurried around getting ready all week. Amy and I had even been having sex at night while they talked in bed.

It was Thursday, and Jeanine and Stan were flying to the show tomorrow, so they would be ready Saturday when it started. They were picking us up at the house at 7:00 in the morning. Amy and I were packed and sitting on the sofa after dinner, watching the craziness show.

"I don't know! Don't take more clothes than you need!!" Dawn yelled as Samantha ran up the stairs.

"What are you wearing in the morning?!" Samantha yelled.

"My jeans...I guess!"

Samantha ran up the stairs with Dawn behind her.

"You know...when she gets this thing, you won't be able to keep the two of them out of it," Amy said and giggled.

"That is what I am afraid of, but that is okay. I received an email this morning from the marketing people at Eurocopter. They have finalized everything with the media. They asked if I could keep Dawn away until 11:00 Saturday morning. I told them I would try."

"What is at 11:00?"

"They told the media they have a special announcement they are going to unveil at 11:00. He said the media thinks it is a new model of helicopter, and they are running with that. He wants all of us to be at their exhibit in the main building a little before 11:00."

"Have they said anything to you about the finished paint job?" Amy asked.

"They just said it was awesome. Even the President of the company is going to be there for the unveiling. He emailed me and said the paint job was incredible."

"Wow. It must look great."

"I only talked to Crystal once because I didn't want to know too much. She told me that Dawn would be shocked."

"Good. I want to see Dawn shocked, just once!" We both laughed.

"This will be the only big surprise I have ever pulled off on her other than the Japan trip," I said.

"I am surprised it has been kept quiet."

"The Eurocopter people haven't allowed any photos of the finished helicopter. He said they were afraid they would be leaked on the internet."

"That says a lot."

"Have you seen my red top!!" We heard Dawn yelling upstairs.

"No!!"

"Linda and Rachel will also be there Saturday," I told Amy.

"How are they getting there?"

"Her small jet. Early tomorrow morning."

"Are you going to wear your pin at the show!!" We heard Samantha yell.

"Hell, yes!!"

"That reminds me. Come with me," I told Amy.

We went to my study. I pulled out a box I had managed to hide for the last few weeks. On the top, I had "Stay Out Dawn!" with a magic marker. I took out a small box.

"Dawn hasn't seen these yet. She said to get some pins," I told Amy.

"Does that work to keep her out of something?"

"Yes."

I handed the jewelry box to Amy, and she opened it.

"Oh, my god! That is so fucking hot!"

One of my other secret projects was ordering some Mile-High-Club pins that Dawn wanted me to get. I contacted the place on the internet where I had ordered one for myself. When I asked if they could design a custom pin, they said sure...if I wanted to pay for it. I sent them an 8 X 10 of the side drawing from the blueprints of our helicopter. Once they got it, they emailed me and asked what I wanted. I had them design a cutout of the EC-135 in full detail. The rotor even has four blades. They had made the main rotor blades big enough that the words Mile High Club was stamped on three of the blades. One word each. The size of the helicopter was about that of a quarter. I had them put a small diamond where the enclosed tail rotor was. The detail they had pulled off was great and not cheap.

"James! This is great!"

"It turned out very well. It is 18-karat gold, and that is a real diamond."

"Awesome! I want one!"

"You have to earn yours!" We laughed.

Amy looked over in the box.

"Damn! How many did you get?"

"After paying for the setup, 100 was not much more than 50. I am taking a few to give to the people at Eurocopter."

"What did these cost?"

"It worked out to be about $75 each."

"They look great."

"Look at this one," I said as I handed her a small red box.

"This is pretty! It has a blue stone instead of a diamond. Is it silver?"

"No. It is solid Rhodium."

"What is Rhodium?"

"The rarest metal on earth. It is almost ten times the price of gold. They use it to plate silver, so it doesn't tarnish."

"This must be for Dawn."

"I thought the pilot should have something special, but she has to earn it!"

"I won't ask how! Oh...what is the blue stone?"

"A tiny blue lapis."

"Is it really expensive or something?"

"No. It has special meaning to Dawn and Native Americans. When she gets her pin, you can ask her about it."

I handed her a blue box.

"This is Samantha's."

"This is perfect. Is it Rhodium too?"

"No, it is platinum with a ruby."

"She'll love it."

"I have one with a tiny emerald for you, but you have to earn it!"

"Oh, I will!"

"Well, I have these taken care of. That's one less problem I have to worry about."

"Someone should write a song about having one less problem!"

We heard the two of them running down the stairs. I grabbed the boxes and hid them under my desk quickly.

"Won't Dawn look there?" Amy asked.

"No. I have a cabinet that is off-limits, and she has one."

"I don't!"

"Just designate one."

"That wouldn't work with sis."

"Where did you two go?!" We hear from Dawn.

"In here!!" I yelled.

Dawn appeared.

"What are you two doing?"

"We came in here so we can laugh at you two so you wouldn't get mad!" Amy said.

"Bitch!" Dawn exclaimed, and we laughed. "Have you seen my red top?"

"The silk one?" Amy asked.

"Yes."

"The one you like to wear?"

"Yes, that one."

"The one with the short sleeves?"

"Yes!"

"The one with the red buttons?"

"Amy!"

"That really pretty one I like?"

"Amy!!"

"It's hanging up in your study where you left all the dry cleaning you brought in Monday while you were running around crazy."

"Oh...thanks..." Dawn disappeared. "Bitch!"

"Don't mention it..." We both laughed at her.

"Did you find my blue top!!" We heard Samantha scream.

"I found them!!"

"They are like a couple of crazy cats!" I said.

"Well, Dawn will enjoy all this."

"She better, for what we are spending."

"James...this won't make a dent..."

"I know. I am happy to do it for her."

We kept hearing the two of them yelling up and down the stairs.

"I have something else to show you," I told Amy and opened my desk drawer and got out two boxes, and handed one to Amy, and she opened it.

"I like this!"

I had gotten Dawn and Samantha a pair of small gold flight wings similar to what the military wear and took them to the jeweler. He had added a mount in the middle and a beautiful one-carat round diamond.

"When are you going to give them these?"

"Once we get the helicopter at the show."

"I am going to take my new camera and the GoPro video camera. I have a suction cup mount for it. I thought I could stick it up inside the helicopter," Amy told me.

"Good idea," I said. "You can stick it up in the back when we fly back and earn your pin."

"What did you do with it!!" We heard Samantha yell.

"What!!?"

"My pin!!"

"I don't have it!!"

"Yes, you do!! You gave me yours!!"

"Where is yours?" I asked Amy.

"I have it. I'll wear it at the show. Where is yours?"

"I'm not wearing mine..."

"Bull shit! You better wear it!"

"Okay...I will! But mine is a tie pin. I don't wear ties."

"It's a pin. Wear it on your shirt...or I'll tell Dawn."

"Don't do that! I'll get it."

"I have something to show you," Amy said and got out her phone. "Mom sent it to me."

She handed me her phone. It was a photo of Claire's cat. He seemed to be getting bigger.

"I hope you don't mind her sending cat photos!"

"Of course not. I still don't understand why she named the cat David?"

"She said he just looked like a David. He sleeps on the bed with her and answers to his name already. Mom says he is really smart."

"I think pets are like people in that they respond when they know they are loved. I have no doubt your mom loves him."

"She does. She is so happy to have him. You really made mom happy."

"I'm glad she is enjoying the cat. I think he is getting bigger."

"He is. I think he is going to be a big Maine Coon. The vet told her he was only about nine months old. I think you rubbed off on the cat."

"Why?"

"Mom said he likes to sit and watch her having sex when the couple next door comes over."

We laughed.

We left my study and went to the den. Dawn and Samantha were still upstairs yelling.

"You two, stop all that yelling!!" I shouted.

"Bite me!!" Came from Samantha.

We laughed at them again.

Amy and I finished getting our things together and sat and watched the show until dinner time when they came down looking for food.

"We have cooked the last two nights!" Amy exclaimed. "Your turn!"

"Order a pizza," Dawn said.

"Lazy!" Amy told her.

"We have been busy!"

"No, you two have been a freak show all week!" Amy said.

Dawn jumped on the sofa and grabbed Amy.

"Don't you tickle me! I can't tickle you!"

Dawn went to work tearing off Amy's clothes. Amy was fighting back, and soon, the two of them were naked on the floor, laughing.

"Thirty minutes," Samantha said as she stepped over them and sat down next to me.

"Before you two go to bed, see if you can scale back all that you are taking," I told them. "Only what you need, please."

"Shut up, James!" Dawn said.

When the pizza came, and the bell rang, I sat and looked at Dawn as she looked at me.

"Hey! Amy and I have cooked twice this week! You get it!"

Dawn got up and went to the door, and opened it. The poor guy stood there holding the pizzas as he looked at Dawn's naked body.

"How much?"

"Huh?"

"How much are the pizzas?" Dawn asked.

"Oh! $32.50."

He watched Dawn walk across the den to get some money. She walked back as he looked.

"Here you go. $40."

"Okay...thanks."

Dawn closed the door.

"New guy," Dawn said.

We all sat in the den and ate, then made Dawn and Samantha clean up. Samantha sat down next to me.

"When we get back, I think I am going to get a tattoo. I like Linda and Rachel's," Samantha said.

I saw Dawn raise an eyebrow as she looked at me.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes. I think they are pretty and sexy."

"You do?"

"Yes. Hers is pretty and makes her look sexy."

"I see," I said as Dawn looked at me. "You think a tattoo can make a woman look prettier?"

"A nice one can."

"So, a nice one then?"

"Yes."

I stood and walked to my study and grabbed one of my books of art, and got something out of my desk, and went back and sat down next to Samantha.

"What's that?" She asked.

"Hang on."

I thumbed through the book until I found one of the most famous nude paintings. The Birth of Venus. I opened it up and sat it on Samantha's lap.

"Here," I said and handed her a black magic marker.

"What?" She asked.

"There is one of the most beautiful women in history. Take the magic marker and put a tattoo on her so she will look prettier."

I heard Dawn stifle a giggle.

"I'm not going to do that!"

"Why not?"

"Because!"

"Because why?"

"It wouldn't make that painting look better."

"You said the right tattoo can make a woman look prettier. Go ahead."

"No!"

"Why not, Sam?"

"Because she is perfect the way she is!"

I took the magic marker and the book and went back to my study and put it away, then went back and sat down.

"Okay...I won't get one..."

"You're right. Do you have any thoughts on the subject?" I asked Amy.

"Nope!" Dawn laughed.

"You two, you were not going to win this one," Dawn said.

"He likes Linda's and Rachel's," Samantha said and pouted.

"They didn't ask me before they got them."

"But you like them!"

"They are okay, but no, I don't like them."

"Why not?"

"What did you just learn?"

"I wasn't going to draw on that painting!"

"You said she was perfect the way she was. A woman's body is perfect the way it is. It doesn't need someone else's artwork on it."

"That's not fair!"

"Sam! Give it up! I lost this argument years ago! If you get him started, he will spend an hour telling you why he doesn't like them."

"Honey. You have a perfect and beautiful body. So does Amy, and so does Dawn. It doesn't need anything to make it look better or to try and make you more beautiful. Especially someone else's opinion of what they think is good art that you can never get rid of."

"Okay..."

Samantha leaned over and kissed me.

*****

Dawn and Samantha finally stopped running around and sat with us around 9:30.

"Are you two packed now?" I asked.

"I guess..."

"What about you, Samantha?"

"I guess."

"I hope you two are not taking a lot. There is limited space on Linda's helicopter."

"We're not."

By 10:30, they had settled, and we went to bed. They wouldn't stop talking, so Amy climbed on top of me.

"Hey!" Came from Dawn as she looked at Amy.

"You two won't shut up, so we are going to fuck!" Amy said. Dawn laughed.

Dawn laid back and watched Amy...quietly. Samantha moved between her legs.

"I love watching you and your sister," Dawn said.

"I do, too," I said.

"Shut up. You two just look like you are enjoying it so much."

"You do too, Dawn," Amy replied.

"I am so happy for the three of us."

"Me too," I said.

"Shut up, James!" I was giggling. "Now that we are all pregnant...it just feels so different between all of us," Dawn said.

"I thought it was just me," Amy replied.

"It's not. I have been able to tell how we all feel. You and Sam just enjoy it so differently now. I do too."

"I think..."

Amy stopped.

"What honey?"

"I think...there is just much more love between us all now."

"I think you are on the right track...but I think the love we all feel now is different, not more. We all love each other a lot. I think it is just a different feeling now. We are more connected in a different way...or on a different level."

"I think that's it."

Dawn was right.

Dawn lay and got off while Amy took her time making love to me. When she came, so did I.

Samantha had her head lying on Dawn's stomach as they watched.

"Dawn? How long have you shaved your pussy?" Samantha asked.

"Since I started growing hair there."

"Really? Why?"

"Great-grandmother told me I should. Cherokee women down have a dark haired bush...we have a thick curly mass of hair. She said men would appreciate me being smooth instead."

"You must have been pretty young?"

"I was. Why are you asking?"

"You are so pretty here. You don't have that look like you decided to start shaving one day after having a bush. You are so smooth, and your skin tone is so even."

"I know!" I said. "Like yours!"

"If you are not going to shut up! I am going to shut you up!"

Dawn got up and straddled my head as the girls laughed. Amy and her sister traded places.

"He really wants me to shave, doesn't he," I heard Samantha say.

"Honey, you do whatever you want," Dawn told her.

"What do you like?"

"I like you smooth...but a little patch would be cute."

****

Early Friday morning, Amy and I were putting the breakfast dishes in the dishwasher as Dawn and Samantha were running around again.

"Not again," I moaned.

"Geez. I'll be glad when this is over," Amy said and started the dishwasher.

"I think I have created a monster."

"Two!" Amy smiled at me.

"Are you sure we don't need to take some more nice clothes?" Amy asked.

"We don't have room. My suit and your dress will be fine. We may get invited to some parties."

"I can always go and buy something!"

"I talked Dawn down to one dress. Just remember we will have less room coming back."

"Dawn said the new helicopter has a lot of room in the back?"

"I hope so..."

"Do I need to take my computer?"

"No, I'll have mine."

Dawn came down the stairs with another small bag.

"Dawn!!" Samantha yelled from upstairs.

"What!!"

"Have you seen my phone!!"

"No!! Call it!!"

Dawn came to the den and sat the bag down. We heard Samantha's phone ringing down between the sofa cushions.

"It's down here!! Are you two ready?" She asked.

"Been ready," I replied as I sipped my coffee and looked at the now ever-present Eagle feathers in her hair.

"Dawn, I have a question?" Amy asked.

"What?"

"When we are on the helicopter...what do I do when I have to pee?"

Dawn looked at her a moment, then laughed.

"Haven't thought about that! You better go easy on the coffee or take a bottle to pee in!"

"How long will it take to get there?"

"Five or six hours. We will land in Indianapolis and switch co-pilots," Dawn said.

"Who is flying first?" I asked.

"Me! Then you or Samantha."

"Samantha," I said.

"Don't you want to fly?" Dawn asked.

"Nope. You and Samantha get the stick time. I don't need or want to know how to fly Linda's big helicopter."

"What time is it?"

"6:30."

"They will be here soon," Dawn said.

"You two get your shit together then," I told Dawn.

"Samantha!! We need to get ready!!" Dawn yelled as she headed back up the stairs.

Amy and I finished in the kitchen as we heard the helicopter coming.

"Hurry up!!" I yelled.

A minute later, Samantha came running down the stairs with a small bag to add to the pile. Dawn came down right behind her.

"You two need to learn to travel lighter," Amy teased as we heard the helicopter approaching.

"Bitch!"

"Helicopter Tramp!"

The house shook as they landed out front. I started grabbing bags, and we began carrying everything outside. Amy grabbed her camera bag and my computer.

Stan was stowing all the luggage in the back as I handed it to him.

"Dawn hasn't stopped talking for a week," I said as I handed him a bag.

"How much does she know?"

"Nothing!" He laughed. Stan and Jeanine didn't know everything either.

"Did you two find a room?" I asked.

"Yes. Linda got us a suite at the Marriott also," he replied.

"I guess they must have really overpriced them. We almost never found a car."

"We didn't."

"How are you going to get around?" I asked.

"Linda said she had it taken care of."

"When will they be there?"

"About 8:30. They left early. Jets were to be there before 9:00. By this afternoon, that place will be a zoo. I had pilots tell me that waiting times to land can be almost an hour. You have to get a scheduled time slot to land, and they started Wednesday and continue through Monday."

"Damn."

"We have to get out of here by 7:00. Our slot is 2:00," Stan added.

"Will it take that long?"

"No, but I want to refuel in Indianapolis so we can get out of there next weekend. Then we are swinging west around Chicago to stay out of that headache."

"I didn't think about Dawn's helicopter needing fuel..."

"You will have to work something out because they probably won't take it off the floor until Sunday."

"I guess we should fly out Monday then."

"They didn't get you a take-off time slot?"

"Uh...no."

"Oh boy. I hope you can get out Monday."

"Stan...Jeanine is flying with us, remember?"

"Forgot."

We finally had everything loaded. Dawn was in the co-pilot's seat, talking to Jeanine while Samantha listened. Stan and I climbed in. Amy had claimed one of the big front seats. Stan took the other. I sat across from them and pulled my camera out, and took some shots.
