Meiko grinned at Istava while Garaile moved through the crowd to buy tokens. 'My hero.' she said, batting her eyelashes at him while sighing in adoration.
He chuckled and ruffled her hair. 'Don't give me that!' he said. 'That's so not you!'
'Oh?' she said and gave him a sly grin. 'You prefer the loud mouthed, cheating me then?'
He poked her nose. 'Yeah, I guess I do.' he chuckled. 'At least then I know what to expect.'
He stretched and held out his arm. 'Come, I think I have just enough left for a late night ice cream.'
Meiko took his arm. 'You know, I was still right.'
'About what?'
'You can't set up a sophisticated date.' she said and smiled while they walked outside. 'But you can set up a perfect date.'
This is a great story!! Love the characters. Are you going to continue this story?
@qunburpo
Not abanbonded, like my other unfinished stories, but I need to get a good rhythm going in my writing.
I like the characters (and plot) too much to leave them in limbo. :-)
Oh, you'll love the ending. That was the whole inspiration to write the story in the first place. ;-)
Each of my series is meant to scratch a specific need for me. Since I don't see the kind of thing I want to read I have no choice to write it, which is why I write in different genres from comedy to disgusting horror.
And even within the genre I'd like to avoid repeating the same setting.
