Nothing wrong with step-siblings hooking and marrying in most states.

There is no blood relationship between them. They are only related by marriage. If it blossoms into something more permanent it shouldn't be a problem. I was in the service with a guy who did just that. His mom remarried his senior year in HS. His step sister was a freshman, they didn't really know each other. It wasn't until after he was on his second hitch and stationed closer to home that they grew close and eventually married. He was almost 23 and she was 19. They got married a year later. His step-father didn't like the idea at all but his mom was okay with it. That changed as soon as the grandbabies came along. That was over 20 yrs ago and they had been married 10 yrs when I met them. As far as I know they are still married with their 3 kids.

No birth control?

That would be an interesting scene when the parents came home: "Oh, yeah. Ted and I have made up in a big way, since I'm pregnant with his baby!" Heh. Could make for an amusing sequel.
