Hi guys n gals, just a quick note to let all of you know a few things.

First of all, I AM NOT DEAD........YET!

Besides my writer's block, my ticker started acting up a few years back and after way too many trips to the doctor they figured it out and prescribed meds to help with it. When people talk to each other they use a lot of contractions. You are - you're. I am - I'm. I'll. We'll etc. When you don't use contractions it makes your characters sound robotic.

2nd thing is they DON'T call each other by name every sentence. Jim and his mom are the only 2 in the bed; the only 2 in the room; the only 2 in the house. So why is he "mom"ing her every single sentence? Is he going to forget who she is?

Please go sit in a Starbucks or a diner and sip some coffee and listen to people talk to each other. Take notes. How often do they use each other's name? Listening in, can you even name all the people at the table?
