Repetitive. Only difference is the format.

If you won't punish this Rafe person, don't include his POV. It'll just irritate readers.

Strangely okay story. I'm not sure whether it was the flow, the lack of emotions or my own stupidity, but the story never really picked up off the ground. One thing I found impossible to believe was that his wife gave him sloppy seconds. I would think ANY man could take one look at a woman he had known for that many years, look at her vagina and know for a certainty that she had had sex that day. Just seems like a given. Keep after it.

A very interesting take and I found that having it told from all sides gives the story so much more depth. I found Traci to never really feel how much she betrayed Mike and she ended up all alone as a final punishment. Well told

Traci was such an unmitigated cow that I simply couldn't get into this at all. Jesus christ.

Well done. Realistic and I could root for someone without feeling foolish. I was somewhat perplexed that Mike didn't get back into the dating game sooner than 5 years, but Traci's problems didn't surprise me. Second time around women usually end up with men significantly older than they. This story was the right length and the technical aspects weren't bad. As usual, this author hasn't mastered the me/I pronoun dilemma, but that's par for the course. 4*

I loved it! I have to say, though, that my heart was in my mouth when Mike started going out for coffee then lunch with Traci after they'd split. I really feared that his resolve was weakening and he was going to take the skanky pin cushion back! Thankfully, he stayed smart and kept her at a distance. Smart man, 5 stars.

FireFox59FireFox59about 2 years ago

Not one of your better efforts to say the least. Rafe skates and lives happy ever after with zero consequences for destroying Mike's marriage. Also very little fall out for Traci. The story seems like a little feel good paint by numbers tale to me. Sadly you've ready gone soft on cheaters in your stories lately.

PowersworderPowersworderabout 2 years ago

It was okay, but the constantly shifting character perspectives didn't help, and just repeated the same information. Traci being in lust with a younger man could've just as easily been covered in Mike's perspective. As a consequence of the wasted wordage, you skipped over all the later interactions with Rose, so she was basically just a cardboard cutout character.

-

Mike becoming a recluse for five years really sucked.

Also, Rafe destroyed their marriage with no consequences. He even got a happy ending with a younger woman!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

What has happened to the old Hooked we loved??? I've really been disappointed in your stories lately. "The Barkley Chronicles" were a total flop and now this. A weak cheating wife story where the wife and lover gets off with no consequences for their actions and Mike spends 5 year wallowing in self pity. It's starting to look like the next story will have Traci cheating and Mike willingly being her happy little cuckold waiting up for creampies when she comes home from being with her lovers. God, I hope not. I'm hoping the original Hooked1957 we loved will reassert himself and start wielding the sword of justice again. I guess time will tell.

Yes it was worth it because that was your original decision when the opportunity to cheat was on offer. It was also worth it when you wanted both husband and lover when in counseling.

What sane 45 yro man would want a divorced slut who was caught cheating on her husband? and when confronted, she had the gall to tell him she won't give up the "best sex of her life". And she's wondering why men in their 40's weren't looking for a relationship with her?😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭..why is it in these type of stories the wife deludes them selves to think, that the husband loves her so much that he's willing to flush his self respect, his morals, his beliefs, his manhood down the toilet just to keep them? What makes these cum sluts pussy so special? There's other pussies in the sea. Stop deluding yourself into believing you can't/won't be replaced🤭🤭. This whore didn't love her husband, but she surely expected him to love her more than he love himself. She didn't even give a fuck when they divorced. She only wanted him back after finding out men in her age group aren't interested in a relation with long in the tooth old sluts. Most are either married, single not looking to get married or they just like fucking dumb sluts. Either way, they're not interested..now she's going to die in a old folks home by her damn self with her fond memories of the "greatest sex of her life"🤭🤭🤭.. she better pray she remembers the greatest sex of her life and that dementia don't take those memories🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.. had he stayed with the slut she would've been back to replacing the greatest sex of her life. Her husband couldn't and shouldn't compete with her lover/potential lovers. The competition was over when they married. No married person should be in competition for their spouse. how do you compete with the "greatest sex of her life"? ... you can't /shouldn't. can anyone see this whore being satisfied with him after the "greatest sex of her life"? Hell fuck NO!. I see her searching for a new lover.. she's just a typical slut who wanted her cake and eat too. She didn't love her husband. She loved herself. She loved the tingling betweeen her legs, she loved that her husband loved her. She's a narcissist.. I dont see how this didn't come out in the 25yrs they been together? This is not behavior that just popped up. She had to have shown her narcissism in all those years. Her mindset was, you love me too much to let me go. You'll let me do this. Who been with someone for 25yrs and don't know what they will and won't put up with? 25yr relationship and the wife actually believed that he was such a wimp with no backbone, spine or self respect hed allow her to continue to fuck around.. this is not new behavior. It's juts been hidden or he wasn't paying attention in those 25yrs.

"I am fully aware that saying I love my husband more than anything sounds self-serving, but it's completely true." - That's so completely a lie. You don't cheat on a husband who you love "more than anything," with a lover that you "can't give up." She "can't give him up" even though she knows she'll eventually have to, so why not save herself some grief and do it now.

\

"It was like he had shot an electrical thunderbolt right to my pussy." - In other words, the Martian Slut Ray.

\

"he apparently caught Rafe and I in our bed one time, and had video" - Nothing was said at the time about him recording them.

\

"I would start out trying to get Mike to agree to me keeping Rafe as a lover on the side" - She can't seriously think that will fly.

\

"I have to have him." - She HAS to have him, but she'll supposedly give him up?

\

"He didn't love me enough to let me have Rafe." - OMFG! SHE didn't love Mike enough to not even start with Rafe.

\

"if she could do what she did to the man she said she loved above all else, what could I expect?" - Yep, she'll cheat with you, she'll cheat on you.

\

"why wouldn't he date me if he was going to be dating other divorced women." - Because the other divorced women didn't cheat on him.

\

"I thought he loved me so much that at the very least, he would forgive me my transgression." - MAYBE he would have, if it wasn't so obvious that she was always going to be hot for Rafe.

\

"Makes me want to puke. It should be me." - It WOULD have been her i she didn't fuck things up.

5 stars and one of your better stories.

Being a Septuagenarian, I could relate my life to the characters you depicted in this story. It is not very surprising that retired people are constantly showing up on some statistic or other, as being especially prone to getting Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD). Maybe it is because we think we have lasted this long, what else can kill us?

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

Fun little tale. Would have been fun if Rafe's new partner knew about his lack of respect for vows.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

Let's get the formalities out of the way first. It's Hooked1957. And as usual with him, it's a 5. Now, on to the show. This is an unusual H57 effort in that it very explicitly recalls an earlier story, "The Thunderbolt." Not only is a "thunderbolt" referred to here, but the MMC's last name is the same one as the woman the MMC in the predecessor tale winds up with (after the Traci in that story, like in this one, is hit by said thunderbolt, wanders off the reservation into the ether, and, quite deservedly, winds up ruining her life). As far as I'm concerned, the similarities, the parallels, are all to the good. Hey, I loved "The Thunderbolt," so why wouldn't I love this one? Another thing to love in this story was the multiple first person narratives, a device I always enjoy. I know some readers find them confusing. I don't, especially when they're so neatly identified as is the case here. Having praised this story, I should balance that out by pointing out a couple of small glitches. One is that on page 2, Traci refers to "going home to an empty apartment" but on page 3 she moves into a senior community because "my old house was way too big for me" - which was it? Did they sell the marital home in the divorce (most likely), or did she get to keep it in exchange for him getting the cash and investments (also possible) ? Continuity error here that a little eyeball-proofing might have caught and corrected. The other glitch I noticed is also in Traci's final narrative on page 3, where she states "I was a little more suspect in my choice of partners" - don't think the word "suspect" is what she (via Hooked) meant to say. Maybe the word should have been "circumspect" ? Again, proofing might well have caught that. But don't get me wrong, these are small quibbles. Bottom line here is that this is one fine story, and particularly lovable is the fact that at the end of the story, Mike and Rose have been married for 25 happy years - nicely writing over Mike's 23 years with Traci and Rose's 15 years with HER cheater.

Rw43Rw43about 2 years ago

I like your stories, but frankly they get old really quickly, and I fail to see any progression from you as a writer or in the overall development of your topic.

<>

Adding Traci’s perspective seems gratuitous, like some silly commenters accused you of using the MSR so you feel like you have to explain how the Thunderbolt is more credible than the Martian Slut Ray. If Traci’s perspective doesn’t improve the story’s development, it’s nothing but a distraction from the priority theme, Mike’s plans that God re-wrote.

I hope Mike got to take his trip with Irish Rose.

I keep thinking Mike was kinda wimpy beta guy.

He could have given the same medicine to Rafe now that he is married.

Mike would have tried to try Rafe's wife, if not him then hire a pro seducer...at least.

The most he could do was hire someone to beat Rafe, in front of his wife, and tell her why Rafe got beaten.

As for Traci, at least she gets to fuck a lot of guys but would have been better if she also prepared to buy a cat or two.

Traci played a stupid game, now in her senior years, she gets to enjoy one of her stupid prizes...loneliness.

/

This story is much much 100x way better than the cuck stories since last week.

In the first paragraph, We-The-Readers hear about Hubby’s slow-growing EuroVacation Fund. At the divorce, WTR never hear about whether Hubby got to keep it, or honestly disclosed it, or tried to hide it and failed!

Giving each main character (except Sweetie2) a chance at the PoV is awkward as shit. It also suggests that the author sees her as a main character only for Hubby.

BTWay, the tequila intro (a late entry into the tale) is schizo! Sweetie2 is either a tequila aficionada (as her early comments suggest) OR she needs a mentor to learn about blanco, anejo, reposado, and maybe pulque & mezcales (as Hubby subsequently treats her.)

miket0422miket0422about 2 years ago

Rafe finds his happily ever after, rides off into the sunset and we never hear from him again?

Not even a little karma for him being an uncaring, unfeeling asshole?

Traci could have tracked him down, convinced him to cheat on his wife and passed along her STD before she got it treated.

Someone younger and better looking comes along and seduces his wife?

Something, anything

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

This is so trite, I cannot believe it’s from one of the better Lit authors.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

Readers tend to confuse developments and characters they don’t like with a poorly told story. This is actually very well done. It’s just in a number of ways a downer. The one weakness: would a woman with a great marriage—including great sex—recklessly give it up just for greater sex elsewhere? Seems doubtful.

She's forever lost the love of her life, several years of her relationships with her children (and those will never be back to 100%), and is living her senior years alone. yawn. Not only is the story rather Matt Moreau -ish But there's a portion of the story which doesn't seem to make any sense. If the husband is so busted up over his wife's actions that he doesn't see anybody for five years why is he meeting the wife for lunch and having conversations with her? The kids are all grown so what is the need psychologically speaking for the husband to have these long lunches and subject himself to this kind of mental anguish and torture?

There is an implied contact between an author and a reader. Put simply, the reader agrees to put forth time and attention in processing the story, and the author agrees to provide the reader a worthwhile literary journey. Sadly, the terms of the contract are not met by this submission. While the technical quality of the wordcraft is fine, the story line is awful. Traci is dispicable and Mike is pathetic. I suspect the primary reason they married is that no one else was interested in either of them. Big surprise that STD survivor Traci ends up collecting condom coupons from the Sunday paper while waiting for God in an old folks home. Luckily for Mike, older women outnumber older men. Since he was not abusive or mired in poverty, he was bound eventually to stumble across a female who would settle for a constant diet of oatmeal. Yawn....

Basically A Weak Story, Illogical Characters, And Boring Plot

Let's settle the weakness first. Why didn't Rafe end up in a wheel chair, or at least convinced his life was in jeopardy if he ever fucked that old whore again?

And you set us up with a couple who essentially share a Vulcan mind weld, well except his wife is a selfish arrogant hyper sexual immoral whore who lacks any respect for her husband, for her marriage vows, for her family, and of course for herself. But somehow the husband was essentially blind sided by a wife who is fucking some asshole in their own bed? For months? And then this sophisticated intelligent experienced man of the world becomes a hermit, for 5 years? Then remarried after 1 year of dating? At least you were consistent with the promiscuous slut's succeeding life style.

And that was the point? Dumb shit catches his whore wife, divorces, remarries, lives happily ever after with a younger more beautiful more virtuous and intelligent woman, while the fallen whore lives her life in misery, cheap sex, and venereal disease. OK. Thanks for the effort. I've enjoyed previous work more. Good luck with future writing.

I read a few comments, they make me smile. There are thousands of stories on this site, many of them worth reading. Why would one read and comment on a story unless they found it to be one they enjoyed? I liked the multiple viewpoints carried forward in this tale well told. Well done! 5, easily.

Can never understand how anyone (Traci in this case) could be so deluded into thinking they "love someone with all their heart" and "he is my soul mate" while fucking someone else. It is beyond irrational. Mike wasn't particularly inspiring, but he got it right. Being crushed, but standing up for yourself is much better than letting a self-centered tramp walk all over you. Nicely done! By the way, ignore the idiots who think Traci is a "strong modern woman." She was a slut. Anybody who sees something laudable about who she was is probably worse in real life than your fictional character!

Ya did it again. You got me at the beginning and there was no stopping until the end of the story. You made a point that Traci and Rafe worked at a Christian college but never indicated what action the college took when Traci was divorced for adultery and it appeared that others noticed there interactions. Thought that there would be some action taken against two employees behaving in a most unchristian manner.

There also seemed to be an opening for Rafe's treatment when viewed with his motto: Mine is not to wonder why, just to fuck or die.) That sounded like an open invitation for an appropriate solution to his actions with married women.

@enderlocke77, saying something is "a buck 85" is slang for $185, the usage will make it obvious whether it's $185 or $1.85!.
