I have loved all of this story so far. Except for the fact that you're trying to play this off as an American story. I live in Kansas, it obvious you can read a map of the towns there but you don't have a grasp of American English and you still keep dropping United Kindom terms and saying into this story.

But it's your story write it however you like perhaps find someone that is from the USA to proofread/edit it that can swap your English words to more American ones.
