She thought for a moment. 'Well I've nothing to rush home for......so yes......that would be nice. I'll help get the spare bed ready.'
I hesitated for a moment then reached out to put my hand on hers.
'Do we really need to make up the spare bed?' I asked very softly. I was very apprehensive of her reply and immediately wished I hadn't said anything.
It took a few seconds for the implication to sink in then she looked at me sharply for a few seconds before her face softened.

oldpantythief18 days agoWhat a eye opening story. Just shows that with age there is a need of acceptance and companionship with others. I can only wish that I had a sister that could share that intimacy with me the way Mary did with Henry. I'm not saying that with age everyone should give playing on the other team a go, but if you've never tried it don't knock it, just go on with your life.
