...I don't know about the whole cold water thing though, just makes shaving a lot more painful for me! Same with that dry shaving with just shave cream! If its not done in the shower then a hot, wet hand towel to soften it up and open up the pores so the hair lifts easier, then wet lightly. Then shave gel/cream/etc, then shave, rinsing the blade with hot water.

Basically what old school straight razor barbers used to do I guess, heh.

In the shower I actually use conditioner since it's slippery as owlshit. (Where DID that saying come from?! Lol;)
