Thank you all for your comments. I was not expecting anything so positive for my first attempt. I have more ideas, including a re-write from Cat's side of things if people are interested. I've got a busy few weeks before I graduate with my AAS degree, so bear with me if it takes a few days to get more posted.

I think hearing more from Cat's side earlier in the story would be interesting but you have to be careful that it doesn't dilute any of the impact of the original story. Congrats on your AAS and take your time. The readers will be here for you,

Beautiful story....the only thing I'd have liked would have been to know more about Cat. Where was he from? Did he come to the church by chance? How did he find the blog? Did he look for blogs by people in his area? ,How did he connect the blog to Bart? We just didn't get to know anything about him really, other than he didn't have a real job, he played guitar and fell for Bart. That is the main thing I'd have pointed out if I beta read it. But, the rest of it was really well-written and Mew was definitely developed well as a character. It was a sweet story. Thanks!

Mew is entirely a figment of my imagination. Doesn't make him less real though...
