Eventually, I turned towards the door and hung my head. I spoke to no one and walked to Mr. Moore's car. Meanwhile, the four of them gathered on the front step of my house congratulating one another. Finally, he returned to his car and waived to the others as we pulled away. "We have just enough time to make it to the clergy's office". He said.
Mr. Moore reached into the back seat and brought forth a huge box wrapped in wedding paper. "Wedding present." He said putting it on my lap smiling. ..."from me."
"What is it?" I asked.
"A case of lube." He said belly laughing.
