Nice story but the whole exchange with the parents was unrealistic. A) how are you going to tell your parents where you and your fiancé going to sleep in their house and b) the whole be a slut and sex talk in front each other was creeping. Could have skipped that whole section or rewrote it to be more realistic especially if you are writing from an older black woman perspective

As for the comment I read talking from an "older black lady perspective"... my mom (God rest her soul) told me, much to mine and my dad's chagrin, where I was conceived. She would also tell me sometimes if she and my dad had done "anything" the night before. She really didn't have to, as she would be wearing his robe the next morning (he was at work). I'd usually be grossed out, but whatever. I was about 38 or 39 by then, and she was about 53 or 54. I didn't feel comfortable talking sex with my mom, but she seemed to be pretty cool with it in her older age. Every black person is different. Though we do have cultural differences where that stuff isn't NORMALLY shared, we don't know how each family is raised, and some may be more open to the topic than others.
