A: Once the App is used to bring people back from under hypnosis, the control ends completely. Even if you told them not to speak of it, once they are back in control of themselves, there's nothing to stop them shouting about it, hence the blackmail angle. It literally only controls them for the duration of the app being used, so there's no chance of leaving an order that is then followed once they are back themselves :)
