German, like Yiddish, is replete with compound words. "Blockhead" or "stupid" would be "dummkopf" or "dumkopf" most commonly.

I can't recall ever seeing Yiddish on this site before, some two decades I believe. I suspect even chutzpah will look like a typo to this audience, much less "Yalla" or "Nu."
