These chapters are way too short

Chapter was short, but why was Hailey suddenly worried about losing her boyfriend now? It sounds like she wants to move on, and she's only using Nicky; it's a little late to develope a soul. I expected nicky to cry, and Hailey to laugh at him for being a wuss.
