You need to work on more of their lives than just the time spent in bed. What makes each tick? Do they like orange juice? What is their favorite adult drink? That sort of thing. To make any sort of relationship work, they must get along outside the bedroom, too.

When you start a story in a category, you should stick to that category. Of course I don't think they have a "Garbage" category which is where this belongs.
