A missed opportunity

I can understand a Palestinian perspective on the Israeli Palestinian conflict; it would include similar loads of anger and resentment as the Israelis would project on their narrative regarding painful chapters in the history of the conflict. Beyond that I believe any narrative should stick to common Historical facts without distorting them. There is enough creative license for the use of imagination to fill the gaps where specific historical facts are not involved. Obviously what was the war of independence for the Jews in the Mandatory Palestine was the Nakba – the disaster for the Palestinians but this is more about the terminology than about facts.

As far as the Irgun involvement in the battle over Ramle, it was only indirect and happened several month prior to the actual battle over the city. The “Irgun” (not unlike the British and the Palestinian forces used terror tactics against civilians. In the case of Ramle they planted a Bomb at the center of the town which killed civilians. Several month later the Early Israeli Army of the State of Israel under the command of Yitzhak Rabin (how much people change) took Ramle with intense fighting (no easy take over).

Beyond the inaccuracies the actual true facts, namely- the direct orders of Ben-Gurion to send to exile most of the thirty thousand Arab non combative habitants of the city are bad enough without the extra over the board vilification of all the ‘Zionists’ spare none. In this story even the best of them including the mythical Talya (Ramle was not a mixed city prior to 48, another non truth) are either traitors; cruel sadists (like Ezra) and other wise drunks and sexually promiscuous. Where did the author get the black and white uniforms of Ezra from? Maybe there was a confusion between the ‘Zionists’ and the “Gestapo” which indeed had black and white uniforms. The love scene between the Palestinian couple is almost divine whereas the sexual scene between the Jewish couple is at best a cheap version of S/M scene in an ancient Stalag paper bag. (I was the dog of Shultz).

Iwas hoping to find something new but found only thinly veiled hateful propaganda. Don’t get me wrong I am amply sympathetic to most of the causes of the Palestinians, but not through racist narratives as this one.

DISGRACEFUL

This is no place for a sensitive subject like this.I am not going to say anymore, except that practically every historical statement was incorrect.
