the wait is brutal!

BrainStraw (TM), its whats needed to get the story outta your head, but with 6x the normal width of a straw... for mass and speedy consumption!

Someone complained a few chapters ago about the 'repetitive food and beer/drink' being an impediment to the story. (@ a beer or two: I know YOU aren't complaining)

What everyone needs to remember is Talemaster has adopted Australia. If you've never known an Aussie, I'm here to tell you, Talemaster would never survive, or have chosen, Australia if he didn't like his beer, plus Frank IS Talemaster's futuristic, dream alter-ego, after all.

Besides, on a more practical note, beer is a known safe liquid with a high water content, low alcohol content and some grains/veggies thrown in; if water is short, or of questionable quality, beer is THE option.

Additionally, alcohol is the only substance besides fat, protein or carbs the body can directly metabolize as a food source. So, it's nutritious as well as being a viable water substitute. Which is also why being a drunk can make you fat; alcohol has about 75% of the caloric density of fat. (Fat = 9 cal/gram, alcohol = 7 cal/gram, protein & carbs = ~5 cal/gram)

Besides, if we're going to read Sci-Fiction, wouldn't you rather the hero was able to drink all day, fuck all night and still hoodwink the military, outsmart ruthless alien overlords and rescue time-traveling, psychic, angelic avians, (and sex-prived human cousins from a life of servitude/annihilation? {{cue the cackling laugh sound track}}
