Payback Pt. 07

"We all do Maddy," I replied, hugged and kissed her and went to tell the others.

Friday was a tough day, I went running again in the morning and swam in the afternoon, the girls, except Maddy, joined me and we talked about only one subject for quite a while. Her brain can move back to where it is supposed to be and she shouldn't get any more headaches from it being squashed," she explained, "She recognised me when she woke up and asked me to tell you all that she loves you all."

"Hooray!" we cried, so relieved that the operation was a success.

"She will be in recovery for a couple of days and then start her radiotherapy and the chemotherapy. We can go home in a week but she will have to come back every week for the therapies, four times for the first one and seven times for the second," Alicia said, smiling. "It's a lot of taxi rides but I don't care, I've got my Mom back."

"Well done Caroline, she's one tough old bird but please don't tell her I said that Alicia, we all want her back to normal as soon as possible," I said and kissed Maddy "Sorry Alicia, I can't kiss you so I'll have to kiss her instead."

"I love you too, good night Danno," she said and switched off. Hopefully she could take both treatments in the same day and bring the end closer so she could get back to normal.

The only thing Alicia had to report on Thursday was that her mother's hair was starting to fall out due to the chemo.

The doctor told Alicia that this would probably happen so she had already brought in a hat for Caroline to wear home the next day. She had made Alicia promise to give her a haircut when they got home as she would not have patchy hair.

Wednesday 24^th and Caroline was home and I asked her how it had gone.
