For a first attempt, you made escape velocity with fuel to spare! All the hallmarks of Lost Bloodlines are here, with the added bonus that this universe has been painted in tantalizing depth for an overture in media res. I honestly don't remember the last time I read a goo-girl scenario that came off as bona fide horror—this teases at what Trials in Tainted Space could have been if the writers aimed for a proper story instead of hardcore pornography. If -this- is what comes from writer's block, you shall never want for foundations. :D
