I’m inclined to think this needs to be the beginning of a series, in which Meredith is drawn deeper and deeper into this secret network of mostly lesbian dominance. I will point out that at least to me, the lesbian-daughter-dominates-mother trope seems overused, and most of the stories using it lack subtlety, mystery, or elegance. This at least seems to have at least the potential to avoid that.
