If Kane is a werewolf and has super sensitive hearing, wouldn't he hear Charlie in Lina's apartment and immediately start kicking ass?

I liked the excitement of this chapter. I agree that Kane should have heard her first scream or followed her scent. This is well written an no errors, excellent.Looking forward to the next chapter,well done.

How did this guy get Lina out of her apartment without Kane hearing or smelling it? Is it possible that her father survived the explosion and is now running this operation?
