This is a nice short story. One thing I can tell you from experience. Never touch a veteran while he is having a nightmare. I was home about six months when my younger brother tried to shake me while I was having a nightmare. I grabbed his arm while still asleep and broke his radius and ulna. Almost every vet I know is the same way. Call our names from a few feet away and we will wake up in an instant.
