Overall, I liked the story, but I don't understand why the children never tried to reach out to their mother. I can understand the daughter, who discovered the cheating not wanting to but the boys not reaching out over a 10 year period. Didn't get that.

Also the jumping to the end in the middle of the story ... didn't love that either.

Also, to have Plan B ready when he didn't know she was cheating didn't make sense. Granted he suspected something was going on, but to have this all ready without knowing anything for sure was a bit over the top for me. I could see him finding out about her cheating and then taking action but it wasn't clear why he had Plan B ready and to abandon his wife without any solid reason.

Anyway, thanks for sharing!!

I'm not sure he could have been prosecuted for kidnapping. They weren't divorcing or separating so he had as much legal right to them as she did.

He definitely did commit crimes with the identity fraud but he wasn't *stealing* from whoever the identities *had* been so not likely a major issue.

.

I do dislike that even after ten years she can't accept that what she did was WRONG.

.

And she says he stole her family from her - if he opted to divorce her, she'd have ended up stealing his family from *him*.

.

Important question at the end is was the woman who came up to him at the end Susanna or just some other woman..?

Based on what we know I'm hoping it isn't her since *we* never heard her apologize which means we have to assume she hasn't.

Who the hell is the “tall elegant woman” ?

Parental kidnapping occurs when a parent violates a custody order or when a parent takes a child for an indefinite period without the consent of the other parent. In the latter case, the parent whose child has been taken goes to court and obtains a custody order based on the nonconsensual removal and the court issues an order for the return of the child, and from that point things proceed as if the absconding parent violated a custody order.

Costa Rica extradites to the US, so Don Stefano isn't really safe staying there once Suze knows where he is. If he wanted to make wine he should've taken the kids to Montenegro.

Longer than it need to be. A lot of repetition.

I find mouth slides to be villains. The guy planned an 'escape' from his marriage way before he thought she could possibly cheat.... Sounds like from day 1 of the marriage. That's not exactly commitment.

And sorry, but adultery is terrible, but I think while this may be satisfying fantasy (which is what we're an here for I guess😃), real world what he did likely damages the children much more than splitting custody. I've not seen allot of divorced recently where one parent gets like age to the children unless there's violence. Especially when both parents make good money.

So to me streaming 10 years of interaction with their mother ... Flawed as are us... Was unfair to the children, when the girl she was going and holding a grudge.... Re enforcing that was wrong.

Hard to believe the boys just accepted it... Send they'd miss their mom to me.,..

Missed feelings in things one... Not just conflict. Decent wiring but too long. And would be for to get more info on the ending.... That was a bit of a cliff hanger unworthy of a sequel given it's 30 years later.

Finally, while it may seem like a noble parental sacrifice, giving to dating or about relationships (emotional ones, not simply fuck buddies) Is a disservice to kids.... Much like staying together ok a hateful or loveless marriage kids need to learn to love and respect their matter as an adult and they learn this best from the actions of their parents abd other adults in their youth...

Nice story, plenty of good detailed characters and actions, I especially liked how you let the payback go for 10 years, as I always say, it’s easy if you have money and have worked in something like cybersecurity.

But not a bad story all round,

Drove from Liberia to Costa Rica? It’s not hard to google a map! Liberia is in Africa bro. That being said it was good enough for me to comment.

5 stars for a great tale. I didn’t understand the Spanish, but that’s my issue. DMW aka Sumnut96

I enjoyed this story.

Thanks for writing it for our entertainment.

Most excellent. Really appreciate the “tall elegant woman” who has successfully gotten several of the commentators' knickers in twists. Touché.

A very ~>different<~ LW story. 4-stars for that.

I have to agree with prior posters that the "Plan B" aspect says "I don't trust you." I also agree that the boys, at least, would have tried to get hold of Mom once in a while.

Finally, the "tall elegant lady" is almost certainly NOT the ex, IMHO, to be sure.

God that was awful

For those suggesting the husband wasn't trusting of the wife to have the Plan B in place...remember the top of the story and the people he was serving as his clients. The Plan B was in place for a lot of contingencies mostly related to work, not his wife.

It might have made more sense if Plan B had originally been created for the entire family, including Suze, in case Alan's cybersecurity work ever put them in someone's crosshairs. Then he would just have tossed out her new identity and left her behind.

Regardless of their mother cheating on their father, what kind of teenagers would be okay with cutting off all contact with all of their friends, extended family and their own mother to join their dad in some flight to another country. Ridiculous premise.

It’s also incredibly selfish of the father to uproot the entire lives of his three children because his wife cheated on him.

AnonymousAnonymous11 days ago

Yep - it is illegal to take kidnap your children and take them out of the country. Look up the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. It is surprisingly common. To be honest - I find the story a bit disturbing, primarily because of the number of sad cases I have read about.

AnonymousAnonymous11 days ago

Given how long you made it the ending was too abrupt. Way too many questions left unanswered. Hopefully, if Susanna never repented and confessed her betrayal, she died a sad and lonely death after a sad and lonely life. She was truly a completely self-absorbed cheating skank slut. Loved a story about a husband who wouldn't take our completely idiotic divorce laws lying down. Good for him have the balls and brains to save himself and his kids from the whore.

I liked the flow of the story. Good background information and growth in the story line. A 5* for me. Thanks for sharing.

With his and the children’s sudden and complete disappearance without a trace , no paper trail, no credit card or cell phone activity, no prior 911 calls from previous domestic issues and a brother whom could pass a polygraph test if and when , in the early investigation that is , questioned of the knowledge of their whereabouts , wouldn’t that lead to a suspicion that possible acts of murder had occurred ? Likely the wife being the prime suspect , I don’t recall , and too lazy to reread that part of the story , but were the police or F.B.I. made aware of her infidelity ? If so the paramour would have also been a prime suspect and a conspiracy between the cheaters would have to be ruled out as well . Generally without a clue until the first photos showed up even she would have to wonder if they fell victim to foul play , even with the note and printouts .

hmmm

the premise was good but, for us 'English only' readers, in the future you could put in parentheses a translation [traslación] so we aren't required to use google search to find out what the story is saying. otherwise it was very enjoyable.

AnonymousAnonymous11 days ago

Way too long and frankly kinda boring

AnonymousAnonymous11 days ago

It's a low-brow move to include all this Spanish without translating either literally or via context or character reference. To throw it out there as stand-alone, you say to non-speakers, "Too bad for you." Even if you do not overtly intend that, it comes off that way. It ruins a good story.

This story scores high on being pretentious ("Look! I can write in Spanish and make you Google it!") and so far up the moral high ground's ass that they're probably breathing pure oxygen. I half expected Juan Valdez to come out leading his donkey with Greta Thunberg -- aka Scoldilocks -- perched atop.

Upon second read...I am struck about how necessary the leadup to the conclusion is in order to fully place the degree of self deception of Suze that justifies their actions. Even after thirty years She still has no clue whatsoever nor apparently has she appologized for her destruction of the family. In short, that long retelling is necessary to firmly establish that she would in fact have done every action that He details in his defense. He chose to protect his children and found their future on integrity rather than betrayal and compromise.

Again that is exactly why I put this one on my favorites as it transcends the genre and becomes a real morality play...

5 stars..

Very nicely done.

My habitual final comment on stories I think are especially well-crafted and those that I give five stars with no qualms or hesitation.

This is one of those.

Main character is a criminal psycho. Next story why not just kill the wife? Since no punishment is too little for being cheated on apparently.

Anyway, the only thing you can say to these people is, Do what you want, "los cachos no te los quita nadie".

AnonymousAnonymous10 days ago

To sdc97230, yes that version of Plan B is probably EXACTLY what happened, you have intuited what the author felt he did not have to actually write down for us.

Pretty good story, and the wife's character is revealed that she never really accepts her fault, not understands the implications, from her husband's point of view, of what she did, even though he clearly explained it. A practiced bad actor in a trusted position, lying for selfish reasons for a year, is not to be trusted at all, neither empowered nor accommodated in any way.

It is a shame that the husband came to understand his wife so late in the game, she clearly is very self-centered. Although it may be that that quality had been exacerbated by the initial success of her fling (selfish pleasure + deceit), and then her suffering post-familial escape.

Not an erotic story at all. Maybe you missed the point of the Lit-erotica website and especially the Loving Wives section.

A good story ruined by the need to have them reconnect. She was an unrepentant bitch until the end. Which means at any point she can snitch to the FBI. He had no reason to tell her their whereabouts. Only to lose. The kids were adults and they could visit her if they wanted. Dude just shot himself in the foot just because the reconnection trope had to happen.

AnonymousAnonymous6 days ago

@ anon from 4 days ago What's criminal is a justice system that rewards a horrible wife and mother, by awarding her custody if a man refuses to be a cuck and wants out. And what's psycho is seeing people defending this. Makes sense though. The more single sluts raising kids, the more of those kids will grow into adults with no morals. A slut has no place raising kids in a proper society.

AnonymousAnonymous4 days ago

A story with a very intriguing moral tale. She cheated long term. Wasn't repentant. Would probably carry on doing it for her own selfish reasons. Didn't want a divorce because then she could have her cake, eat it too and have some of other people's cakes as well. But if divorce comes along then she gets "paid" for her heartless actions and he loses out because that's how it's "supposed to be" No it really isn't supposed to be like that even if it happens quite often. So he decided to run off and take his children with him and sentence her to ten years without her children. Legally right? Morally right? Appropriate? Fair? All questions that are subjective to the reader and their own values and morals. I found this an excellently written story although the whole Plan B scenario is a bit far fetched and if it would happen meant he never trusted his wife long before any affair. As such it didn't feel realistic. But a very good story nonetheless. BardnotBard
