Charles had left Michelle millions of dollars so our new family would never want for anything. Michelle and I are in love and plan on spending the rest of our lives together...but... I would give it all back to still have my Carol and I know Michelle would also, to have her Charles. We understand that about each other and maybe that makes our love special. We know our love is different, but we both feel it could be just as strong our first loves, given time.

He forced a confrontation with a terminally sick man for no other reason than he wanted it and to convince him to give up his wife to him? You take that, along with his not giving a damn about all the cheating he's doing with married women and that makes this guy a massive tool bag, at least a douche. So I can't root for him, then when you flip the coin he married a lady who did gangbangs...a unusual choice for someone to raise your kids with.

A most unusual Romance, but definitely a must read.

Park you prejudices etc. and just enjoy an excellent read.

Charles had quite the interesting way of dealing with his mortality. My guess is that he set the one-month limit to (a) allow them to form deeper feelings, and (b) weed-out anybody who’s only there for sex. He was able to die knowing he’d done all he could for his wife. Before his mother sent him to get laid, Eric seemed the kind of man who’d feel a good deal of guilt from being involved in a woman’s cheating. It really isn’t clear how he made the leap to lothario.

Knowing Michelle would be loved and cared-for allowed him to die with untroubled mind, knowing he’d done all he could for his wife. Until his mother sent him to get laid, Eric seemed the kind of man who’d feel a good deal of guilt after bedding a married woman (unless she was a confirmed hotwife).

I liked this, both deviant , sad , and caring a story, nicely thought out and written

You took a sad, tragic situation and turned it into just a common cheating story.

I am emotionally confused, that was one of if not the most beautifully caring, loving wife story I have read. I don't understand the people throwing shade at your protagonist he is broken not an ass those who don't see that perhaps has not enough pain in their lives to relate, for their sake I hope they never do.

The pacing felt a little... Off. His wife passed so he turned into a douchebag, kinda rough but understandable, but then he falls in love with another woman in 4 days, one that he spends very very little time actually talking to, then forces himself on the dying husband just cause?

Decent premise, but wildly uncomfortable with how unlikeable and unsympathetic the main character became.

He could have tried to save marriages before screwing the wife, ya know? Not a very sympathetic character.

Just because Cuck, I mean Chuck, enjoys sloppy seconds doesn’t mean that any of those other husbands would have been as appreciative of Eric’s interventions in their relationships.
