I hope Chow and IC are not the intended pair of victims as I was hoping the guy would have gone after Craig and a certain radio presenter. when IC and co save them only for Craig to try and claim the higher ground and run into a crowbar angel or two. WW you mentioned in this story that the Dep Dir does not have the ICs wife to help him anymore, does he not know that she is not retiring, the firm do not allow a person of her stature to retire.

The really good thing about this series is that it is full of power plays and you have done a great job in the twisting and turning of the various crimes that you have to read carefully not to miss an important clue, as there has been many in the two parts already another double double cheeseburger WW. ***** Iceman

What I meant by the DepDir not having Laura's help is that she's not in Washington any more. She's officially retired but is still a Consultant. And no, they don't let people like her retire... they tried to kill her off, but a certain redhead with a katana got in the way of those plans ("Her Last Bow").

As to the rest of it... as you know, it's always darkest before the dawn... it always gets worse before it gets better... :o(
