I hadn't expected to see this, but I like both the detective work about the art and the flowering of the relationship. Well maybe especially the relationship, Annie
Thank you my darling. I wanted something to show I can write about something other than Rahab :) Your support is, as ever, vital :)
There will always be an Annie! A wonderful tale with such a mix of tones and relationships. Well done and thank you. Love and blessings, G xxx
An interesting change from your Rahab saga, Pixie. While I enjoyed the story I have to say that I thought the ending a little rushed. I'm sure that you could have taken it in a more leisurely way and perhaps got anything up to another page out of it. Nevertheless, your usual high standard of writing and worth five stars.
A very wonderful and complete story in less words that many ever take to write something this good! Thank you for sharing this with us Pixie!
I wanted to try something a little different, but you will notice the recurrence of certain themes, if I try another longer piece, I will bear in mind the ending.
I am glad that you liked this contribution - I try not to waste words :) x
This is an unusual story and i loved it. Well done and thsnk you for sharing it.
I really liked this one. Milly was quite evil and I was happy to see Pixie get away from her to be with someone like Annie...who understands Pixie and actually loves her. Of course, the rest of the story was very engaging as well, and it was great to see Pixie, Annie and David find the paintings before Milly/Helmut did. :)
I very much enjoyed this story, and will definitely read more of your work. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Thank you, I am so glad you took the trouble to comment. Yes it is a bit out of the way, but I am so happy that you liked it.
I am glad that Milly's true nature shone through. The lesson Pixie learned was that submissiveness can lead you astray, something I have experience of, and that was reflected in this fiction xx
Thank you so much, I hope you will enjoy my other tales.
this is not one of your better stories, I skimmed most of it and only read a few parts and the parts I did read was not that good
Thank you for yet another great read. I have read most of your writing now and recognize you as one of the truly great storytellers.
Thank you. I tend to write economically, and by my standards this was long 😋
Thank you for such a compelling story, I have loved reading all your stories! Genius wordsmith!
Not sure how I missed this when it came out, but I'm so glad I've read it now. Brilliant Pixie. I'm glad that Annie found Pixie, milly seemed an unpleasant person, in it for what she could get. It adds to the story though, unpleasant characters to add a contrast to the delightful ones. I thoroughly enjoyed this and the journey discovery that Pixie went on.
Thank you Pixie

Thank you so much. Yes, I don't enjoy writing unpleasant characters, but Milly is based on someone I know, alas. I am so happy to have your verdict on this :) xx
This story is so gorgeous- you're so talented! I love the way your mind works! More please xx
Wow what a great story. The sexual element is lovely, romantic and hot, which is a difficult balance to strike. But, more importantly, it fits beautifully into a really enthralling tale. Great stuff, Pixie - truly excellent,
From you, of all the authors I admire here, that is a huge compliment, which I treasure - thank you darling xxxxxx
Dear Pixie, this is one of my favorites of all your stories. Not just for your usual insightful and generous character development, but also for your historical awareness and the context you put your heroine into. Totally agree with the comment from monica31970 below, from a little while ago now. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
Thank you so much, Shurlin, and I so appreciate your comments. Nice to know that my back catalogue is still being read xxxxx
