This well written story, which started so well, seemed to come to a lackluster ending. Instead of keeping the ambition and drive she began with Ambrosia (great name) has become just another woman in love. Bleah . . .

I would have ended it differently, I think. With government making ever greater budget cutbacks each year, I'd have had Kera transferred to a new, privatized, experimental facility that serves as both prison and brothel, in line with the doctrine that prisoners should earn their keep. Kera, it seems, would become the ideal prison worker, even providing skilled services to some of the former victims of her crimes. A portion of her earnings might go into a fund for crime victims . . .
